The Saint cover

Title: The Saint by Tiffany Reisz

Release date: June 24th

Before she became Manhattan’s most famous dominatrix, Nora Sutherlin was merely a girl called Eleanor…

Rebellious, green-eyed Eleanor never met a rule she didn’t want to break. She’s sick of her mother’s zealotry and the confines of Catholic school, and declares she’ll never go to church again. But her first glimpse of beautiful, magnetic Father Marcus Stearns—Søren to her and only her—and his lust-worthy Italian motorcycle is an epiphany. Eleanor is consumed—yet even she knows being in love with a priest can’t be right.

But when one desperate mistake nearly costs Eleanor everything, it is Søren who steps in to save her. When she vows to repay him with complete obedience, a whole world opens before her as he reveals to her his deepest secrets that will change everything.

Danger can be managed—pain, welcomed. Everything is about to begin.

“There are three eternal truths about me you have to know. I love Soren. I belong to Soren. And I will go back to Soren.”

Oh the joy to see my favorite names again-

Little One

& one new one that we will learn much about. Just as all the other men in Nora’s life I sort of liked him!

How can I even review this without expelling so many secrets that I can’t spoil.

So many things I want to say…to express…to go delirious over.

I won’t.

I can’t.

Impossible to find words to explain without giving details away.

It was…

She was…

And it…

And He…

But then…

“There is God there is you and there is Kingsley. Those are my three nonnegotiables.”

When I finished The Mistress (The White Years) I had two thoughts- I didn’t want it to be the end. I wanted more.

The Saint is the answer to my prayers.

The Saint is in present time (After The Mistress) but the stories told go back in time. In present time I won’t lie and say I wasn’t having a panic attack. There are things mentioned that sway you to the dark side, it had me freaking out.

Seeing in-depth, fact to fact, word for word how Elle came to be strong Eleanor to finding her Soren and let’s not forget Kingsley (yeah, like that could never happen). To see the story in great detail, her beginning, their beginning was so breathtaking. If you thought you loved Soren before, the fall for him is much harder.

“Little One, to be with me is to hurt.”

We’ve had small spurts of their historical past but to have it so specific was just ideal. A story we all loved the first time now we love more and more. I can’t wait to see where the rest goes.

“He’s brilliant and funny and fascinating, and I’ll never reach the end of the mystery of him.”

“I know my strengths, You…You are one of my strengths, my greatest strength.”

Pick a number one to five- Just like Eleanor I’m going all the way 5 stars. No question, no doubt 5 Soren fabulous Nora Stars!!!!!!!!!!

“If it had been fire, I would have walked through fire.”

“If it had been fire, I would have carried you through it.”

Genre Romantic Suspense/ Erotica

Publication Date June 19th 2013

Breathing through my nose, I tried to inhale deeply and let the air out slowly. It just made my chest hurt. I gripped Raine tighter and tucked my head into her shoulder.

Soft fingers caressed the back of my neck.

I couldn’t answer.

“What’s wrong, baby?”

“Nothing,” I croaked. The word was utterly ridiculous.

Raine moved her fingers down to my chin and pushed my face to look at her. I did so reluctantly, and as soon as I met her eyes with mine, some of the tension faded, and I could breathe right again.

I nodded.

“Can you tell me about it?”

I shook my head, and Raine nodded in response. She moved one of her arms around my shoulder and the other around my head. She held me against her chest as I tried to regain some semblance of sanity.

Raine knew me so well, it frightened me. Whereas she used to press for more answers, she was now quick with yes-or-no questions I could answer without speaking, and she knew when to give me a little mental space. Eventually I’d tell her what the dream was about, and she knew that.

Still, even when I heard her reasons, sometimes it didn’t make the feeling of inadequacy go away. Maybe it was all from the lack of affection during my fucked up childhood, like Raine thought, or maybe it was because the one man who did offer me any kind of parental connection was also the man who taught me how to be a killer—a damn good one.

Maybe it was because I missed being a killer.

“I can’t do this,” I whispered to Raine as my throat and mouth went dry. “I want a drink so fucking bad.”

“I know, baby,” she replied, “but you’re stronger than that.”

I closed my eyes a moment and shook my head vigorously.

“Only on the outside.” I met her eyes again. “You have more strength inside than I do.”

She moved her fingers into my hair and brushed it away from my sweaty forehead.

“You have more than you know,” she said. “You work at it every day, and every day you get stronger on the inside too.”

Everything in my head wanted to deny it. I didn’t feel strong. I just felt like drinking or fucking.

“I wanna fuck you,” I said. I saw the little twinge in her eye at the phrase but couldn’t bring myself to regret it.

“Always so crass,” she muttered.

I fought with my head for a way to explain.

“When I’m inside you, everything changes,” I told her. “It’s not about getting my dick wet; it’s about being so close to you that I can feel your strength in me. When I feel your arms on my back, and you hold me against you, that’s when I feel strong.”

Kim's Review

4 stars

“Everything she loved, I hated. Everything that frightened her, I loved. How’s that for fucked up?”

After the way Surviving Raine ended, I couldn’t wait to dive into this book. Sebastian and Raine are now living in Miami. Raine is going to school and Bastian is wallowing in self-pity. He hasn’t had a drop to drink although he visits a bar daily. Even though he is close to the water, he still yearns to go back to their secluded island. He’s not use to civilization nor has he ever really liked it. However, Raine is happy where they are and never wants to go back to the island. In fact, she’d prefer to move away from the beach completely.

However, Sebastian’s past has now put a target on his and Raine’s heads. Someone else he wasn’t expecting to ever see has been thrown into the mix of people he needs to keep safe. All the secrets from his past are brought to the surface and the people he loves lives are at stake. So when he’s asked to compete in one last competition, what else can he say but yes? Raine isn’t happy but Sebastian is stuck in between a rock and a hard place.

Question is…will he make it out alive?

I enjoyed this book. I definitely got a Hunger Games feel from it but it was still it’s own story. Sebastian is still his asshole self but you still can’t help but love him anyways. He makes some decisions that I didn’t agree with but I think he handles things a lot better in this book. If not for nothing else, his heart is definitely in the right place. Now I’m ready to read about Evan Arden in his series next!

“I wanted to fight. At least for now, I desired blood.”

Rusty Nailed by Alice Clayton (Josie’s Review)

In this sequel to Wallbanger, the second book in the Cocktail series, fan favorites Caroline and Simon negotiate the rollercoaster of their new relationship while house-sitting in San Francisco.

Playing house was never so much fun—or so confusing. With her boss on her honeymoon, Caroline’s working crazy long hours to keep the interior design company running—especially since she’s also the lead designer for the renovation of a gorgeous old hotel on Sausalito. So with her hotshot photographer boyfriend gallivanting all over the world for his job, she and Simon are heavy-duty into “absence makes the heart grow fonder” mode. Neither has any complaints about the great reunion sex, though! Then Simon decides he’s tired of so much travelling, and he’s suddenly home more. A lot more. And wanting Caroline home more, too. Though their friends’ romantic lives provide plenty of welcome distraction, eventually Caroline and Simon have to sort their relationship out. Neither wants “out of sight, out of mind,” but can they create their own happy mid-ground cliché?

USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton delivers another delicious, frothy cocktail of a book, shaking up her characters, stirring in laugh-out-loud humor, and serving sizzling romance straight up!

Josie's review

3 stars

I LOVED Wallbanger, I read that book 4 times, Simon was so hot and Caroline’s sense of humor and sensuality was refreshing. So when I saw the author was going to have a sequel, I could not help but squeal, we are getting more of Simone and Caroline. Simon and Caroline are happy in their unconventional relationship, he still has his apartment and Caroline has hers. Caroline works for a design firm and Simon is a photographer traveling the world taking pictures. Things take a change in the relationship, as Caroline has been offered a career changing client and starts to work more hours, and Simon has cut back his traveling so he spend more time with Caroline. Caroline has a hard time adjusting to the change but they make it work.

The chemistry between Simone and Caroline has not changed at all, the banter and communication between the two is hysterical and the sex, well hmmmm HELLO SIMON!!!. These two belong together because when they get it on, there is no holding back. I laughed so many times I had tears in my eyes.

“Don’t you dare go back to sleep! No! More! Snoring!”

“Snoring? Come on, it can’t be that bad – what the hell!”

“If I can’t sleep, no one will sleep! You are loud, and you are hot!”

“We’ll, the hot we knew right?”

“Wait, are you PMS-ing?”
“Responsive aren’t you?”

“If you stop now I’ll kill you with this egg timer.”

“Like I could stop? Don’t you know I dream about this when I’m away.”

“You dream about this?

“F*ck yes, are you kidding? I think about this, and the sounds you make when you come, the way you taste. MMM sweet Caroline, you drive me crazy. Mmm, that’s that sweet pu**y.”

The drama in Rusty Nails does not have anything to do with Simon and Caroline but with the secondary character’s, Neil and Sophia, Ryan and Mimi, and Jillian and Benjamin; WAIT I FORGOT CLIVE. I loved the easy going relationship the friends all had together.

“He kissed someone – would you rather he f*cked someone?”

“But that’s the thing: he didn’t just kiss someone; he kissed an ex-girlfriend. The ex-girlfriend, from what you told me.”

“What’s the difference?”

“An ex-girlfriend just means she’s like, one of many. No one special. The ex-girlfriend is suuuuuch a bigger deal.”

“Ryan, you told me this was the girl he almost asked to marry him, right?”

“I rest my case.”

“Which would have been worse, if he kissed this particular ex, or had sex with some random woman who he was never going to see again?”

“Random. No, ex. No, random. No, it depends.”

“I give up.”

“Do you have any tums in your purse?”

“I’m getting wine.”

“You’ve got mustard on your lip, Simone.”

I love getting all the characters stories in one book. But Simons and Caroline are my favorite.

They are perfect together, I loved this couple. However, I hate to say that I did not love this book as much as I wanted to. I thought we would have a lot more drama. More of Simon and Caroline’s story but we did not get that.   I also felt that there were some parts in the story that dragged some and there were areas that just had too much detail for my tastes. Caroline disappointed me at times in this book, she really could not understand why Simon would cut back on his jobs so that he had more time with her. Simone true to form was WONDERFUL, he was caring, loving and supported Caroline in every way.

With that said, the story was enjoyable. I laughed so much reading about the lives of all these characters, I was just expecting more. If you are looking for a funny read, this is your book. Alice Clayton can write humor and sex fabulously.

Josie's review

4 stars

*If you haven’t read the first book then please stop right here and go and read it. This will have some spoilers*

Redeeming You is Camden and Taylor’s story. We met Cam in the first book, he was Aubrey’s boyfriend. I am going to come out and say it, I hated Cam in the last book and after reading this one, I am still not sure how I feel about him now. Aubrey and Camden grew up together and Cam was Aubrey’s everything that is until Cam went to California to peruse is dream of becoming a musician. Camden was cheating on Aubrey the entire time he was in California. He has a sense of entitlement and believes that Aubrey will always be there so he can have his fun until they got married. That is where we met Jax Carmichael, Cam’s friend and a member of Chasing Ruin. He and Aubrey have a deep connection and after all of Cam’s lies and betrayals are revealed, Jax and Aubrey have their HEA. This leads us to this book where Cam is left devastated after losing his childhood sweetheart and having to watch her move on.

As I said, the jury is still out on Cam, I do not like his sense of arrogance and entitlement. I wanted to see if he would redeem himself in this book, and to be honest I don’t feel like he did. Lisa Cardiff delivers a powerful read, she gives readers a taste of what drugs, alcohol, sex and Rock and Roll is really about. Cam is on a downward spiral, he can’t get over losing Aubrey.

“She is marrying She’s marrying Jax. She loves him.”

“You’re right, she does and Jax loves her. More than you ever did.”

“You don’t know sh*t.”

“If you really loved her, you would have never touched another woman, not once. You only love the idea of her.”

Cam becomes reckless, a danger to himself, a problem for the record label and a problem for the band. Jax and the record label have no choice but to step in and try to save Cam and the Chasing Ruin after a sex and drug filled video goes viral. Cam is still in denial and does not think there is a problem, and does not NEED help. That is until the record label, gives an ultimatum.

“You don’t care about yourself and apparently, you don’t give a sh*t about the band. Did you even notice you were being taped?”

“Maybe, but I was kind of preoccupied at the moment if you didn’t notice.”

“The label is livid. The sex tape is one thing, but the drugs in the background are a game changer. The label wants you to submit to regular drug testing, or we have to hire a chaperone to follow you around..

“What do the guys want me to do?”

Enter Taylor Reed, she has just gotten of an abusive relationship and has no home or money. Her brother Alec a drummer for Chasing Ruin offers her the job of Nanny to Cam. Tay needs to earn some money and create distance from her past, besides 30 days is nothing? Cam of course does not make things easy for Tay. Like I said he is arrogant and feels a sense of entitlement.

“He agreed.”

“So he’s fine with it?”

“Fine wouldn’t be the word I use, but he agreed and that’s all that matters.”

“You look fine now. But it looks as though you have a tendency to gain weight in your hips. You might want to limit your late night snack to a salad.”

“What’s your problem with me? I didn’t do anything to you? I didn’t create the job. There’s no reason to insult me.”

“I would’ve happily peed in a cup for the remainder of the tour, but no, you needed a job, so now I’m stuck with you as my sidekick for a month.”

For the next 30 days, Tay and Cam develop feelings for one another but knowing Cam is not over Bre and the fact that he does not do relationships, they agree to a no strings kind of relationship. Slowly, Tay begins to work her way into Cam’s heart and he starts to see the difference between his love for Bre and Tay. He tries to fight it but, after just one taste, he was a goner. Cam becomes possessive, dominant and protective of Tay.

“I just wanted to kiss you tonight before we got on the bus. That’s it. We won’t have much time alone for a while after that. And I’m going to miss touching you, tasting you and exploring every inch of you.”

“How many days are on the bus? That’s a long time.”

“No, the question is what were you doing?”

“Playing black jack like you demanded.”

“Wrong. You were letting that guy drool all over you. Five more minutes and he would have had his hand up your shirt. I’m not jealous, but if you go within five feet of him, you’ll be responsible for a premature ending to Chasing Ruin’s tour.”

“Tay, that feels amazing, but if don’t let me inside you within the next few seconds, I don’t think I’ll make it to the main attraction.”

“We wouldn’t want that.”

This for me was a quick read, and not filled with a ton of angst. Of course their relationship was not an easy one for Cam and Tay. Tay’s past is still trying to control her and she has to deal with Bre still being in Cam’s life. For Cam he has to deal with Chasing Ruin accepting Tay in his life as his girlfriend and not just a random girl, and let’s not forget about Ana the slurry troll mole from book 1. The Before You series are standalone reads so we do get a HEA for each of the couples along with some bumps and WTF moments. I cannot wait to see what the next book in the series will bring, as I believe it is Alec’s story and he is was intense drummer.

*If you have not read the first book then please stop here because my review will have spoilers from the first and it’s best to start with the first so you don’t miss out on all the characters backgrounds*

I am a Biker Book Whore, yep I am and DAMN PROUD of it. Heather Leigh picks up Ride Hard 4 months after Burning Desire ended. Burning Desire was Chase’s and Roxy’s story and it ended in a CH. Roxy and Chased loved each other, but Chase was forbidden to have anything to do with Roxy. Chase belonged to another MC and Roxy was to become an Old lady to someone within the Condemned Angels MC.   During the years, Roxy establishes a relationship with Jake, who was a member of her father’s MC but turned out to be a traitor. When Roxy’s life is put in danger, Chase decides to claim Roxy as his the only way he knew how, and that was to get her pregnant, the problem was Jake had the same idea. Jake is dead and Chase and Roxy are finally together but Roxy is dealt a hard blow when the doctor told her that the baby can be 50/50 Jakes or Chases. Not knowing who the father of her baby left her broken and Roxy left town. Ride hard picks of 4 months later. Chase is going out of his mind looking for Roxy. Chase wants his woman and his baby back but Moretti is keeping her location a secret, that is until Jeremy (Roxy’s brother) brings him some good news.

“What are you doing here?”

“Nice to see you too. I’m the father of that baby, so I have a right to be here, Rox.”

“The letter you didn’t open it?”

“I didn’t want to disappoint you, the club, my father. I didn’t want to be known as carrying a traitors’ baby.”

“You would never disappoint me, baby.”

The author did an amazing job in tying up Roxy and Chase’s story which leads us into Jeremy and Nichole’s story. We met Nicole and Jeremy in Burning Desire, and we know theses 2 have feelings for each other, but Jeremy pushes Nichole away, right into Hunters arms (a new prospect).

Hunter, JESUS, is to die for (DO YOU HEAR ME – I WANT HUNTER – I CLAIM HIM HE IS MINE). Hunter is caring, sweet, alpha and a totally dirty talking biker (THAT DOES THINGS TO MY INSIDES J). Nicole really believes that her and Jeremy have no future together so she is really trying hard to start a real relationship with Hunter. I really loved the banter between them. It was so funny and refreshing, but let me say when the heat gets turned up, Hunter delivers in a big way.

“Men, so confident in how they are in bed.”

“They only are when they know how to use the d*ck that’s between their legs.”

“I’ve been dying to get in this tight pu**y. God damn, Nic. Your little cunt is already wet for me, baby. I f**king love it.”

Jeremy’s life is all about the The Condemned Angels MC.  His father is President of the club so that’s all he’s ever known. He has always wanted Nicole but he lives by club rules and the life and he won’t give it up for anyone. There are so many times that I hated him in this book. Reading his thoughts about how he feels watching Nicole with Hunter is funny, sad and romantic. But when he’s finally had enough of Hunter and all the men staring and his woman, we see a side to Jeremy I never expected. Jeremy turns into this alpha Biker Bad Ass. He is not sweet and romantic at all, he just takes what HE KNOWS IS HIS.

“Nicole! Get the f*ck out now! What the f*ck are you on?”

“Fu*king listen to me.”

“F*ck Off.”

“You’re getting f*cked hard tonight, because I’ve been waiting too damn long.”

“You like how you taste, baby?”

Yes, I need you to f*ck me now, Jeremy.”

“Babe, you need to check yourself. If you’re going to be mine, you need to f*cking respect me.”

“Yours? So, now you want me?”

“You keep poking me with that finger, I’m going to find a new home for it.”

In Burning Desire, Ryder President of the Devils MC was killed in order to rescue Roxy. Now Jax (Ryders brother) is out for revenge on the Condemned Angels. Jax has a secret about Nicole’s past and he uses it to turn Nicole’s life upside down. She is in danger, and so are Jeremy and the Condemned Angels. Nicole’s past is revealed and the Condemned Angels will protect the girl they consider their property. As everyone’s lives are in jeopardy, Jeremy finally realizes how much Nicole means to him but is it too late? Nicole will not risk Jeremy’s life or the clubs, she has to make the ultimate sacrifice. Will it be enough to save all that she loves? Just like the first book this one ends in a cliffy too but I have to say I’m really excited to get Hunters story next.

About The Author

Deciding to write books was something I had contemplated for a while. A co-worker of mine had gotten me started me on the 50 Shades Trilogy. I had quickly became absorbed! Reading contemporary romance had become a part of me.

Little did I know that my daughter was a product of the “50 Shades Baby Boom”! I remember going to my doctor’s appointment to find out that we were off to labor and delivery- and I didn’t download any new books to my kindle! Talk about bummed out! However, I made up for that when I was home for my maternity leave. I believe we read 40+ books while I was home.

I am a full time new mom, and wife. Yes, I do work full time, I am currently doing multiple things, bouncing back after baby, weight watchers, exercising, training for a 5k, reading and writing. So far, I have really enjoyed writing as a hobby.

My work book club, “HE” had consumed us (and by us, I mean 2). We were critics of the stories and characters. I then thought to myself, “hmm, I bet I could write stories just like this, and have them turn out like I’d want them to.” Well, joking turned into thinking. Thinking turned into brainstorming. Brainstorming lead to opening a word document and letting my mind explore.

Growing up I had written short stories with friends, and as extra credit for school. This is probably where it all started… I had turned in one of my short stories without re-reading, or editing it completely. I had my paper returned to me saying the “content was inappropriate.” Apparently contemporary romance was frowned upon in English class! Oops! So maybe I was destined to become a writer.

I thought to myself that I want to live in this world and make a difference and have a part of me in history after I leave. This is me staying forever young.

Here I will post my journey, it’s a learning experience for me, so please bear with me.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, recommendations- I welcome them all.

Enjoy :)
