Sometimes love isn’t enough…

Sometimes you’re required to be beautifully loyal.

If you think you know her… You’re wrong.

If you think you know her family… Wrong again.

If you think you know her story… You don’t.

Ashlynn Adorite is no stranger to the cruel and unusual world she was born into. In fact, she accepts it, understands it, embraces it. However, in her world, falling in love isn’t simply a choice. It causes problems, changes lives, disrupts business.

Sex, pleasure, carnal desires … those things Ashlynn understands. Love … not so much. Her world is turned upside down when she starts to feel something for not just one man, but two. The question is, can she have all that she desires, or will loyalty to her family interfere.

“Will you be ready?”

Leyton snapped out of it, only to find Ashlynn looking at him. Her eyes

“Ready?” he questioned.

“To go to Max’s? We need to get this figured out. I’ve got another meeting to

“With who?” he asked, sipping his coffee and stepping out of the way as she

Ashlynn turned to see Jase sauntering down the hall toward her, his thigh muscles bunching with every step. She loved the way those faded jeans hugged him in all the right places, accentuating his muscular thighs, fantastic ass, not to mention the giant bulge he sported between his legs. The man had caught her attention from the very first day he’d stepped into her house five years ago, looking for a job. He was mouth-wateringly good-looking, and that voice of his… His words alone made her insides quiver with need.

She was ready for some action of her own, and Jase was just the man to provide that for her.

When Jase’s six-foot-two-inch, extremely powerful frame pressed her up against the wall, Ashlynn clutched his broad shoulders as she peered up into those sexy, crystal-blue eyes. His blond hair was cut short but not so short that she couldn’t slide her fingers through it and pull him down to her.

Jase nuzzled her neck as he slid his big, warm hand beneath her skirt, easing inside her panties and pressing his finger against her clit.

“Is this what you’ve been waiting for?” Jase’s tongue caressed the sensitive skin beneath her ear.

Closing her eyes and enjoying the tingle that ignited in her core, Ashlynn nodded her head.

“You’re wet for me,” he whispered against her ear. “So fucking wet.”

“Yes,” she hissed.

The man knew exactly which of her buttons to push to ratchet up her heart rate, and he didn’t have any qualms about giving her what she needed when she needed it.

“Were you thinkin’ about me?”

Ashlynn nodded again, her eyes rolling back as the pleasure intensified. “Don’t stop,” she murmured, riding the sensual high her body craved as he teased her clit.

His lips brushed hers lightly. “What’ll you do if your brother comes in and sees us?”

Ashlynn smiled against his mouth. “I’ll tell him I’m a big girl and I can fuck my head of security if I want to.”

“I love when you say head,” Jase muttered.

“You love more when I give it.”

“No doubt.” Jase’s free hand slid around to cup her ass, squeezing her close as he adjusted their positions so that he could push two fingers inside her. “Is that an offer?”

That was another thing she liked about Jase. He sated her every craving and wasn’t afraid to ask for what he wanted.

She offered another nod.

“Yes, it was an offer? Or yes, you want me to make you come with my fingers, right here?”

“The first, although the second’s not a bad idea, either,” she told him breathlessly, hating that his hand was forced to retreat as she slid her back down the wall, her eyes still locked with his.

While she fumbled with his zipper, Jase pressed his fingers against her lips. “Suck them clean and I’ll give you my dick.”

Never looking away, she took his fingers into her mouth, licking them clean while she freed his cock from his jeans. When he removed them, her tongue instantly lapped at the bead of pre-cum pooling on the wide, swollen head. His hands slid into her hair, gripping her firmly while she proceeded to blow him right there, in the hallway of her brother’s house.

This was probably one of the more private places she and Jase had gotten down to business in. They’d become notorious for acting on their urges spontaneously. It kept it interesting, to say the least.

Ashlynn wasn’t embarrassed to say that her sex drive was high, significantly higher than most women. Previous lovers hadn’t been able to keep up, which was likely the reason she had never settled down long enough to have a real relationship. That and she didn’t believe that sex and love had anything to do with one another. But if she was ever going to give in to love—if it even really existed—then she was damn sure going to be certain the man could sate her every physical need first.

Regrettably, finding that man wasn’t as easy as she would’ve preferred. Not until Jase, anyway. Not that this thing between them could be categorized as a relationship. But it was the longest amount of time she’d been with any one man exclusively. They’d been fucking like rabbits for about a year, and the frequency hadn’t lessened with time. In fact, Ashlynn was inclined to think she wanted him even more now. It was as though he knew her, knew what she liked, what she needed, what she wanted.

It helped that he wanted the same things. Such as Leyton crushed between them.

Jase was openly bisexual, although he hadn’t been with a man in all the time they’d been sleeping together. To help alleviate that desperate need that ate at him, they’d started talking about their fantasies while she secretly plotted a way to get Leyton to succumb to his own desires. It was the twenty-first century, after all, and a woman was allowed to ask for what she wanted, to explore her sexuality and admit she had needs. It had been during one of those fantasy discussions that she and Jase had both learned that adding Leyton to the mix would be the cherry topping on a fucking kick-ass sex sundae.

“Aww, yeah,” Jase moaned, tugging her hair as he pressed his hips forward. “You’re so fucking hot like that, Ash. My dick buried in your mouth.”

That was another thing she enjoyed about Jase. He was incredibly vocal. There were times when he could almost get her off with little stimulation and a hell of a lot of that dirty talk.

However, as good as he was, no one was perfect. The one thing about Jase she’d noticed early on … although he was supremely alpha, when it came to sex between them, he had always submitted to her to some degree. Even if he topped from the bottom so to speak, he had always allowed her to maintain the ultimate control. And she knew, deep down, Jase worried she would break if he took that away from her.

Sometimes she feared he might be right about that.

Movement out of the corner of her eye caught Ashlynn’s attention. While she continued to suck Jase deep into her mouth, using her hand to stroke him simultaneously, she flicked her gaze down the hall. There, in all of his sexy glory, was Leyton.

Watching them.

He looked almost bored, but Ashlynn knew better. He was likely trying to figure out whether or not he should join them. She already knew what his final answer would be, but a girl could definitely hope.

OMG!!! OMG!!! My panties melted a couple of times and if you haven’t experienced a JJBO (Jodie and Josie Book Orgasm) before you will while reading this book. I am a huge fan of Nicole Edwards. I have read all of her books. M/m, m/f/m, f/m doesn’t matter. This author here can write some really good sex scenes with a heck of plot. Beautifully Loyal is book #2 in the Southern Boy Mafia series and after I read the first one I knew this m/f/m book was next. Let me tell you this was worth the wait. The Southern Boy Mafia series is just what the titles says it is. A mafia story based on the good old southern boys and belles. These boys live life be a code, honor it, and are loyal to the code. Beautifully Loyal is the story of Jase, Ashlynn and Leyton and each of these characters will have you swooning, crying and falling in love.

Nicole Edwards did such an amazing job with this story that I decided to switch my review a little. I am not going to give this story away and I am going to tell you what I loved about the writing in this book. Ms. Edwards brings us these amazing characters. Each one of them is damaged but they are brought together in what many consider an unconventional way. There is a true and undeniable connection the characters share. The author shows this connection by telling the story in both present and past tense. While reading these characters past and their stories, there was no denying that three are soul mates and meant to be together as one. We are also treated to alternate POV’s from all three characters and let me tell you their minds will blow you away. Their journey to love is not an easy one. It is one that is filled with scars, demons, fears, angst and explosive chemistry.

Ashlynn is the sister of Max Adorite, the boss of the Adorite Family. Let me tell Ashlynn is not like the Southern Belle’s we see on TV. She is tough, fierce and lives by the code of the Adorite’s. She also has an intense sexual appetite that she does not hide but because of her past she does not believe in love. Leyton (this man right here I want Nicole Edwards to wrap him up and mail him to me) is the number 2 man in the Adorite family. Jase is to die for. He loves Ashlynn with a fierceness that is intense, but he also wants Leyton. I mean come on who does not love a man that is openly bisexual and can take care of both like there is no tomorrow. HOLY GUAMOLE, when these three get together, you better get an extra pair of panties, because it is hot.

This is a mafia book so we know, there is also danger lurking, and the target this time is Ashlynn. Jase and Leyton will have to work together to protect Ashlynn and to gain her love. Can Ashlynn, Jase and Leyton find a love that will keep all three together? Can Leyton and Jase keep the love of their lives from the hands of made-man? Can these three scars souls find happiness and balance and unite? THIS IS A MUST READ! I swear you won’t be sorry.

She loved me.
I failed her.
She loves me.
I’ll break her.
Tristan Westdyke seems to have it all: he’s handsome, athletic, smart, and admired. What people don’t see beyond the façade, though, is the pain and guilt eating away at his soul. Blaming himself for the loss of another person, Tristan trudges through life not allowing himself to feel.
But when the beautiful and energetic Katelyn Sharp barrels into his life, Tristan is helpless to resist emotions long buried. A connection slowly grows between the two, yet secrets and deceit threaten to shatter the fragile trust and love they’ve found.
Can two people who have been hurt and betrayed open their hearts up once more? Can both accept that all may have happened For a Reason?

I reached up and pushed Kate’s hair out of her face. It was pulled to one side, but it had long fallen out of the updo it was in when the sight of her first took my breath away tonight. I lightly traced my fingers over the bandage covering the right side of her forehead and I hovered over the outline of some of the bruises and scratches. I watched my fingers, and I felt her watching me—waiting for me to tell her something. I wanted so badly to trace her lips on my exploration of her face—to feel her breath on my fingertips. But, I forced myself to pull back. “Don’t look at me like that,” I finally whispered.
“Like what?” she frowned.
“Don’t look at me like I saved you. I’m the reason this happened to you. You’re looking at me like you’re so happy that I’m here. Those guys shouldn’t have slipped something in your drink, or whatever they did. If I were paying attention, they wouldn’t have almost made off with you. I did this to you, and don’t you fucking forget it.” I stopped to take a deep, shuddering breath and buried my face in my hands.
“Funny,” Kate said coldly as she leaned forward. “I didn’t peg you as the victim type.”
I reared back. “What?”
“You heard me,” she snapped. “I was the one who had something slipped in my drink. And apparently, I was the one who was almost kidnapped. But I wasn’t. Because you stopped them from taking me. You brought me here. I’m safe. So, quit the pity party on yourself.”
My hands had fallen from my face during her tirade to meet her now angry glare. I didn’t know if I was supposed to be madat what she was saying or not, but I didn’t have the time to figure it out because she wasn’t done yet. “Do you know how Aimee knew to go get you from the waiting room? I begged her to go get you because, somehow, I knew you would be there. I knew you were the one who saved me from whatever caused me to end up in the freaking hospital. So, none of this is your fault. Yes, we shouldn’t have separated, but that’s on both of us. But, it’s not my fault or your fault that some asshole roofied me, capisce?”
She was breathing heavily by the end of her rant. She slowly fell back against the pillows, closing her eyes. I watched her as she got her breathing under control, knowing I had to choose my next words carefully. I didn’t want to upset her more, and I knew that everything she said was true. “Hey. Kate.” I threaded my fingers through hers and waited until she slowly opened her eyes to peek at me. “You’re right. You’re absolutely right. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to upset you more; it’s just… You were so gorgeous tonight. I wanted you to stay by me, but I couldn’t ask you for that. And all of a sudden, I couldn’t find you, and then you were almost kidnapped, and I couldn’t get you to open your eyes. I couldn’t see your beautiful brown eyes,” I was so quiet; I knew she had to be straining to hear me. I didn’t want her to know how helpless I had felt. How I felt like I had failed and lost all over again. And how my feelings for her were getting too intense and they were scaring me.
She tightened her grip on my hand. “I heard you, you know. Through the haze, you said ‘Katelyn, please’. And that’s how I knew something was wrong. So, I fought to wake up. You brought me back.”
I closed my eyes, fighting off the onslaught of emotion threatening to take over me. If only I had been able to save Mel like I was able to save Kate. I didn’t know what else to say. I was exhausted and I knew she had to be in even worse shape than I was. “You should get some rest, Kate. We can talk in the morning. I’ll be here. I’m not going to leave you.”

4.25 Stars

This book. My heavens!!

I loved the suspense, the characters, the not so cliché fall, I loved the storyline, and I loved the fact that this wasn’t the overdone boring characters with the same type of storyline I see over and over and OVER.

I’m a thinker. I can’t help it.  So the fact that in Chapter one I had my first thought about the plot and then, in Chapter 4, had a new one, I was smiling.  I said hmmmm…. I wonder how this will play out.  Certain words, looks, and thoughts gave things away for me and I always try my hardest not to let it affect my judgement.  If I figure the book out that’s on me, right….eah, not always.  If the crumbs are big enough then nope. Chop them baby’s up- puree em.  Although, the clues given in For a Reason, helped guide me to figure some points out, it didn’t give me everything. I loved that I was constant spinning my thoughts trying hard to get it before it was given. I thought I had added all my clues up and had at least one important piece of the puzzle. I thought I had the who, I was close but even if my guess was right it didn’t mean a thing because I didn’t get the why’s. The why’s are the most important.

Her head snapped up, eyes widening in surprise. Sucker punch to the gut. Her eyes were dark brown, almost black. They reminded me so much of Mel’s, although the girl standing in front of me was striking in her own right.

Sometimes, figuring out the plot or subplot helps the understanding along the way. Just as I’m trying to guess what’s going on, I’m also guessing what is up with this character.  And for Katelyn she came on the page like a whirlwind.  WHOOSH. Almost so fast I thought I missed something. She seemed all knowing, a firecracker with Tristan, even with her speech of needing friends she just too much from the get go.  It was as though…….. If I didn’t over think and figure some plots out I probably wouldn’t have like Katelyn as much as I did.

“From what I’ve seen- which isn’t much, I know- I think you’re harvesting a lot of guilt. I also think it’s all self-induced. And that you’ve been doing it to yourself for so long that you’ve forgotten that you’re alive.”

I mostly enjoyed the main characters urge towards each other. Urge is such the perfect word! It didn’t happen right off the bat, they had zero instant love, which I absolutely LOVED. I want to see the work and the climb and not the quick swoosh to happily ever after. They were pushed to a friendship and it worked. As their friendship became easier their next step was inevitable.

We stared at each other as our chests heaved from the shouting. The foot of space between us felt electric. I ran my hand through my hair, yanking at the ends.“F**k this,” I swore. We reached for each other at the same time and out mouths slammed together, tasting of desperation and passion

I went back and forth between a 4 & 4.5 star rating for this one. I ended up sitting happily in the middle of the two. I didn’t think giving a flat 4 was any justice. Hence my crazy 4.25!  Even though I truly loved the story there were some pretty big plot reveals that just didn’t sit well with me. It was too easy. Too square. While these plot reveals were a complete shock I think the reasoning behind it wasn’t all that real. I loved that Tristan and Kate actually knew each other and didn’t give in as truths were revealed.  Also, as stated there were things that I easily loved and then there were things that just weren’t filling me.  I can’t say-now, (without spoiling the big plot) that I didn’t like it but during my reading process when it happened it separated things for me. I actually tried to ignore it. As if it wasn’t part of the book.  Now, at the end when you know everything and there is no longer dark bubbles you are constantly trying to figure out- you get it.

I guess this is a pretty bad review because I didn’t give you much. But if you read this review and from it say ‘I think I need to see what this all means’, after you’ve finished For a Reason you’ll see how I made all the sense in the world here!

Let me start by saying this is the 7th book I have read by this author and Jessica has never let me down. If anything her writing seems to just keep getting better and better.

This book had me literally on the edge of my seat, holding my breath and wishing it wouldn’t end. I devoured it in two short sessions because I was unable to set it down.

Alyssa is trying to get by after falling on hard times when her husband goes away, leaving her to raise their daughter. Left without options she finds herself in an unlikely profession.

Xavier, with his tough exterior and even tougher heart, weakens from her touch and the brush of her lips. Knowing danger lurks around him, he has to do what it takes to keep her safe, even if that means letter her go.

” My body ached with need almost immediately and I felt myself growing wet with the hungry way he looked at me.”

This is not your typical love story with the perfect fairytale ending. There is no knight in shining armour swooping in to rescue the princess, well not in the conventional sense.

The storyline flowed perfectly, the pace in which the story progressed felt right, and the ending of book 1 left me wanting more. The characters were well developed and easy to fall in love with.

Overall, another fantastic read by Jessica Ingro….I shall patiently wait til the new year to see where the story of “Aurora” and Xavier goes.

I finally retrieved my phone to charge it for the night. I could not say what possessed me to do it, but I found myself opening my contacts and scrolling down to Gauge’s name. Only, I did not find it. It took me a few minutes to realize there were no new entries in my contacts at all. But there was a text to an unsaved number. Gauge had sent himself a message from my phone. I went to save the number, pausing when I saw what he sent.

Me: Gauge, you are so fucking sexy. I want your huge cock.

I did not know whether to laugh or roll my eyes. The man seriously needed to be taken down a peg or two. With that thought, I sent him a text of my own.

Me: Keep dreaming.

I meant to tease him, yet, once I finally drifted off, I was the one who dreamed about Gauge and all the illicit things he could do to me.

Cami: Have you ever had sex on your bike?

Jesus. Fuck. That damn woman was going to be the fuckin’ death of me. It had been three weeks since the day I met her, and I’d talked to her almost every day since.

When I gave her my number, I honestly hadn’t thought I’d ever hear a damn word from her. I’d already been prepared to let that shit go. She was engaged—albeit to a total fuckwit—and unhappy or not, she didn’t seem like she was in a hurry to change that. I figured the next time I heard anything about her would be from Tank mentioning something. Then, I’d gotten a text from her that same evening in response to the one I’d sent myself from her phone. Even then, I’d anticipated the line of communication going dark real fast. Still, I’d taken advantage of the door she opened.

Me: I will, babe.

She hadn’t responded that evening, and I’d planned on taking cues from her, so it was a serious fuckin’ surprise when my phone went off the next day with a text from her.

Cami: Any club girls thanking you this morning?

She was flirting with me. Shit, she was playing with fire. Somehow, I knew I was the one who would get burned if I played her game, but I couldn’t find it in me to care.

Me: Nah. Just me thanking my hand.

Cami: Disappointing.

Me: You want me fucking the patch whores?

Cami: No. I meant for you.

Me: Trust me, you didn’t fucking disappoint.

Cami: Me?

Me: Told you I’d be dreaming about you.

Cami: You’re disgusting. And I am oddly flattered.

Me: You should be.

That was how it unfolded, day in and day out. Sometimes the conversations were harmless. That first day, we eventually switched gears and talked music for a while. Other days, we talked about movies, bikes, random things that happened during the day. I was really getting to know her. It was normal, more normal than anything I’d ever known. Then, one of us would blow that all to hell.

It would be simple, sometimes just one fuckin’ text.

Cami: I hate having a housekeeper. It makes me seriously uncomfortable that she cleans and sorts my panties.

I could claim I tried to be good when she sent that one, but that’d be a damn lie. First thing I did was picture what sort of panties Cami had—I figured lace, skimpy but nothing like the pussy ‘round the club wore. Hers would be classy shit. Picturing that ass of hers in lace, my dick got hard real fast. Before I could fuckin’ consider whether I was making a big mistake, the fucker was out and in my hand as I texted her back.

Me: What kind of panties?

Cami: Wouldn’t you like to know.

Me: Fuck yes I would.

There wasn’t an immediate response, but I didn’t need one. Just the image my mind conjured up of her in lace, moving the material aside so I could fuck her while the little panties stayed on, had me close to blowing my fucking load. Her teasing only pushed me closer. Then, my phone went off again.

A picture. She sent me a fuckin’ picture of a pair of red lace panties laid out on top of what appeared to be a fuckin’ drawer full of similar folded pairs in different colors. I shot off in my hand at the sight. It was not the last time I called that picture up either.

I felt like a pubescent fuck who recently discovered the joy of coming. I hadn’t masturbated so much since I was a teenager, but fuck if I could stop. One flirty text from her, one thought of that picture, or any of the mental images I cooked up, and I was bringing myself there again. I told myself more times than I could count that I could grab one of the girls and have her help with the problem, but none of them held any appeal. I didn’t want just any warm pussy to sink into, I wanted fire. I wanted a girl who had me aching before I even touched her.

I wanted Cami.

The moment at hand had me dreaming up a whole new set of images. Had I ever had sex on my bike?

Me: No. Never had a woman on my bike.

Though, that seemed like something that needed rectifying.

Cami: Like, at all? Or sexually speaking?

Me: At all.

Cami: Seriously?

Me: Ain’t puttin’ random pussy on my bike.

With the exception of my mom—who would “never, ever do it”—or a woman I at least planned to make my old lady, no chick was getting on my baby. I’d give her a ride on my bike, though. Whatever kind she wanted.

Of course, Cami was the type of woman I would seriously consider making my old lady.

Josie's review

I am a huge fan of all things MC so of course after reading the blurb I was all in. Clutch was a lighter side of the MC world but it was filled with action, suspense, really hot alpha men, a biker with a dirty mouth and a sassy heroine. The storyline was fast paced but I found it to be enjoyable read. This story is told in alternating POV’s which of course I love because helps to really get to know the characters better and I love knowing what they are thinking.

The two main characters in the story Gauge and Cami were very well developed and so was their story. This was not an instant love story, they start off lusting after each other and gradually deeper feelings emerge. When Gauge and Cami meet she is engaged to Nathaniel (douche-canoe #1). They end up exchanging numbers and then they begin to text each other. The relationship that ensued was one that was built by getting to know each other, opening up to their fears, their needs, their wants and desires.

I loved Cami. Especially after she had enough sense to leave a relationship that was toxic and one-sided. She goes back home to her MC family and to Gauge. She does not want to fall into the same trap as she did with Nathaniel but Gauge is different with her. His dominance and no hold bars attitude is something different for her. I love that he makes it known that he wants her in his bed, in his life and for the long run. Ok so you know how we get these heroines who sometimes cave easily? Cami is not that kind of heroine, she takes time, analyses and doesn’t back down from her convictions despite her raging hormones.

Gauge is awesome! This is the first time that he wants a woman for more than just sex. He knows Cami is different and is willing to show her just how much she means to him. Sure his biker attitude and dominance was a bit of turn off at first, but he had this softer side to him. Gauge is a hard core biker and what I loved the most about this character is that this author really shows us a different side him. We get to see his insecurities and how vulnerable he really is when it comes to Cami and their relationship.

Their relationship was not easy. Cami and Gauge’s pasts are dead set on keeping the two apart. Gauge also has a lot of issues with Cami’s past relationship and what he can offer her. Gauge and Cami will have to learn to communicate and trust in their love or else their pasts will win. Can Gauge let go of his insecurities? Will Gauge and Cami’s past cause a tear so deep that it will end between them before they can even get started? That is something you’ll need to find out for yourselves.

Fade To Red by Willow Aster **Jodie’s Review**

Dancing in pop superstar Beckham Woods’ entourage was the last thing Roxie wanted. Her life with little Leo was blissfully ordinary; she didn’t have time for the drama that stirring up old memories would surely cause.

But when Roxie took a spot on an international tour with Woods and rock icon Ian Sterling, the lure of financial security and her passion for dance pulled her into an emotional storm that threatened to spin out of control and hurt the ones she loved most.

Just as she began to adjust to her new life, it became apparent that danger was in the shadows, waiting for a chance to move…

***Fade to Red is a standalone novel featuring characters from True Love Story.***

“Darlin’ this is not the final chapter of our true love story.”

I could not wait for this book to show up in my Kindle. I stalked/chatted with Willow wanting to know when I could have it and the minute I got it,  I jumped with joy! I was ready to fall in love.   I LOVED TRUE LOVE STORY SO I WAS READY TO FALL HARD!!

“Let me show you how much I love you.”

Sadly I didn’t fall, I just liked it.   This book did not disappoint when I compare the writing and how it keeps you engaged.   But I have to admit Ian screwed this book up for me.   Did I really just say that?   Yes I did! I don’t know if it’s because I was so attached to Ian and Sparrow that having so much of them in this book kept me from attaching completely to Beckham and Roxie but Ian wouldn’t let me give my heart completely to Beckham.

“Lust over Ian Sterling? Damn.  Impossible to tone down.  That man’s hot enough to turn anybody.”

Apparently Ian really is impossible to tone down and he completely steals any show.   Now don’t get me wrong, I truly adored Roxie and the character that she is. You quickly attached to her and her whole story.

“Do you hear me?  I love you, Roxie.”

But then there’s Beckham. He was like a Justin Bieber to me. He was a character that I loved, then I hated, then I loved and then I was like really.   I don’t know something kept me from completely connecting with him. Let’s just continue to blame Ian.   Ian and Sparrow are perfect yet again and I LOVE them even more.     I don’t know what was wrong with Roxie and Beckham I just didn’t want to root for them at times.  Was it too much drama, was I too attached to Ian and Sparrow, was I just not happy with certain situations? I DON’T KNOW!     Was I just expecting more because True Love Story was EPIC to me, probably be!   The ending of this book was EPIC , like goosebumps, WTF GOOD!!!!   And please know I still really, really liked this book like 4 stars liked, I just had these issues.     There are parts that had me screaming in my head, there is a creep factor that made my stomach hurt.   And yes you know early on something but the twist and Willows writing gets you!! I Promise she gets you!!!

Bereft by Jennifer Foor Book Tour

We’d been married seven years, and for the most part, I thought we were happy. Little did I know my other half wasn’t. He’d been screwing around on me for the past six months. Now, on the verge of divorce, I’ve found myself in a conundrum.

He’s half my age, with a body that won’t quit. I keep telling myself it’s payback, but who am I kidding? Instead of getting even, I’ve now made things irreparable. I have a choice to make, and it’s going to be a lot harder than I imagined.

Give in to Temptation

Fulfill your deepest Desires

My wife didn’t want to see me, and who could blame her? I’d fucked up. I’d let a little ass ruin my marriage, and that’s exactly what it was coming to. Rachel was a strong-willed woman. She was set in her ways and liked being in control of the situation. I admired her strength, and the way she was able to manage multiple problems at once. This though, this broke her. I saw it in her desperate eyes. She was broken – lost – destroyed, all because I couldn’t keep my dick in my pants. I saw an opportunity to feel young again and I dove right in, knowing the consequences would bite me in the ass at some point. I made the decision out of greed. I wanted to feel empowered; like I was able to get someone young and attractive. For a little while I felt like the king of the world. I thought I’d get away with it. The more it happened, the harder it was to imagine getting caught.

4 Kindle Slamming Stars!!!

I could not wait to get my hands on this book. Author Jennifer Foor is know to write some seriously angsty books. Her books tend to draw out all sorts of emotions in me and this one without a doubt had me extremely angry.

About a ¼ of the way into this book I could not stand Grayson. There was not one redeeming quality about him. He feels bad for what he did? Let me get out the finger violin you asshole!!!! I wanted to junk punch him!!! Those thoughts went through my head several times while reading this book. He was so selfish and did not stop to think that what he did could destroy his family. He kept crying and all I kept thinking was; All these crocodile tears pleez!!! Am I supposed to feel sorry for you? Nope not happening. At one point his scumbag number increased majorly. He was an adult and needed to own up to the fact that he was the one that slept with someone else to make himself feel better.

She came onto me. She said things to me, and threw herself at me. I’d never mae a move on my own. I never even considered it.”

“I was involved with two woman, one emotionally, and one physically.”

Don’t get me wrong because Grayson was not the only one that pissed me off reading this book. I felt bad for Rachel at first I really did. Here is the thing though; as the story progressed she really turned into a selfish bitch herself. She was angry at what her husband did and I totally get that. What I don’t get is what she did for revenge. I felt it was pretty childish and she should of handled things differently. A few times I wanted to smack her upside the head and tell her to grow up already.

“Betrayal is ugly. It shows its face like vicious prey looking to kill its next victims. We did that on our own. We make the choices that set our lives into a whirlwind of regret. We choose to let the people we love down.”

A few things in this book I thought were far fetched but overall I enjoyed the story. The chemistry between the characters felt real and the story flowed really well. I liked how it was fast paced and the author did not waste time with useless page fillers. I look forward to reading more Jennifer Foor books.

The story starts off really well and I was able to connect with all the characters right away. The book flowed beautifully and I loved the relationship and banter between the one main character Dodge, and his two brothers. The chemistry between Harper and Dodge felt real and some parts it was off the charts HOT!!!!

“Is that what that little kiss was about? You thought you’d slip me some tongue and soften me up until I agreed to do something you know damn well I’m not going to do?”

The book did not have any over the top drama but had a nice mix of humor and angst. I loved how Harper did not take any crap from Dodge and put him in his place. The story takes place at a Retreat that Dodge runs. It is a place that was known for protecting the privacy of its ultra-rich guests until Harper starts working there. After being in the spotlight and smacking her no good cheating husband on national TV. She goes there to work after her divorce to escape and try to find herself again. That is when the trouble begins when Harper and Dodge meet. The press wants Harper and Dodge wants her gone.

“Privacy. Luxury. Freedom. That’s what The Retreat promised and what Dodge made sure each guest received.”

The story was cute and I liked the whole cowboy thing. I just felt it fell a little flat in a few spots. Overall, I enjoyed it and would certainly read more from this author.

Avery Flynn has three slightly-wild children, loves a hockey-addicted husband and is desperately hoping someone invents the coffee IV drip.

She fell in love with romance while reading Johanna Lindsey’s Mallory books. It wasn’t long before Avery had read through all the romance offerings at her local library. Needing a romance fix, she turned to Harlequin’s four books a month home delivery service to ease the withdrawal symptoms. That worked for a short time, but it wasn’t long before the local book stores’ staffs knew her by name.

Avery was a reader before she was a writer and hopes to always be both. She loves to write about smartass alpha heroes who are as good with a quip as they are with their *ahem* other God-given talents. Her heroines are feisty, fierce and fantastic. Lost And Found by Elle Casey Blog Tour & Giveaway

Lost and Found by Elle Casey
(Love in New York #1)
Publication date: December 25th 2014
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Sometimes engagement rings can get lost and then found. Sometimes people can too. All it takes is a heavy-duty dose of karma and the magic of Manhattan to make it all come together.

Leah is a financially destitute new age hippy. James is a wealthy surgeon with a trust fund. She’s awkward, he’s poised. She’s completely crazy, he’s way too sane. People might say they have nothing in common, but they’d be wrong. They both live in Manhattan, they both have no idea how to change a baby diaper, and they’re both lost … until they find one another.

“You’re late again, Leah.” Belinda is giving me the tired face, the one that says she wants to scold me but then we’d both realize there’s really no point in me being here when she’s probably only had one customer all morning. Plus, she’s terrible at being mad at me for longer than five seconds.

“I’m sorry, Belinda, I really am. It won’t happen again.” I rush through the store to get to the messy back room where I dump my bag on a ratty chair and check myself in the mirror for any errant nostril-lint. I won’t bother checking my hair; it’s always a crazy, frizzed-out, curly mess in a shade of blond that’s unfortunately referred to as dishwater. So attractive.

“If I had a nickel for every time you’ve said that,” she says, finishing with a sigh.

“I know, I know,” I say, wiggling my nose left and right, lifting my head up and down to get a better view, “you’d have at least two dollars.”

“Come out here, Smarty-Pants, we got a shipment of new essential oils and I want you to set up a new spot for them.”

When I left home earlier, I’d tried to console myself over the inevitable boring day I was about to have with ideas of an ice cream splurge after work, but now my mood perks up instantly even without the ice cream, and my pinkie finger freezes in mid eyebrow-shaping. “New oils? From where?”

That gets me out of the back room in an instant. “You didn’t order from Greenterra did you?”

She won’t look at me.

“But you said…”

“I know what I said. Never listen to me, I’m a liar.”

I walk over and put my arm around her shoulders and pull her against me. “You never lie. You just change your mind sometimes, and since you’re a chick, you’re entitled.”

“Ha! I stopped being a chick thirty years ago. I’m a hen now. A clucky, tired, angry old hen. But I got tired of you bugging me, so I ordered some of that garbage so you can see I’m right about it never selling.”

I laugh and let her go, moving over to the stack of boxes that are in the corner of the store. “You might be tired, but that’s only because you work too hard. You don’t get to claim henhood until you’re at least sixty so you have … twelve years left of being a chick.” I cut open the first box to reveal the beautiful dark, purplish-blue glass bottles inside. “Why don’t you stop going to the farmer’s market every weekend?” I ask. “You hardly make any money there anyway.” I hold the bottle up to the meager light coming in the front window and smile over the fact that I can barely see inside. Sunlight diminishes the power of the oils, and I’m glad to see this company knows its stuff.

“I like the farmer’s market,” she says. “It’s better to be outside than cramped up in here all the time.”

I can’t argue with her there. This place is dark and dreary, but Belinda has always fought with me over making any changes. Not that I’m Miss Interior Design or anything, but I do know the difference between a cave and a new-age shop. This place looks more like the former, even though the name on the sign outside says it’s Belinda’s New Age Wonders.

“Speaking of the market, I’m going to need you to cover for me in two weeks.”

I look up in surprise. This isn’t something I’m used to hearing; Belinda lives for the farmer’s market.

“Why? Where are you going?”

She acts like she’s busy rearranging pens on the counter and shrugs. “Nowhere special. Just my thirty-year high school reunion.”

I stop what I’m doing and clap while hopping a few times. “Oh my god, that’s so exciting!”

She tries to shrug it off, still pretending pen alignment matters. “It’s no big deal. I got cheap plane tickets and figured I could miss two market days.”

“Oh, Belinda, you’re finally getting out into the real world. That’s awesome. I’m so happy for you.”

She looks up with a scowl. “You act like I’m some kind of shut-in.” She folds both sides of her shawl tighter across her chest.

I put my hands on my hips and give her my best mom-look. “Name the last time you went anywhere but here, your apartment, or the market.”

“I go places.”

“Name one.”

“Just because I like to buy my veggies fresh…”

“Listen, you do all your shopping at the market. All of it, including your clothes and shoes. You’re like the poster-girl of clean living. But you need to get out more, I’ve been telling you that for years. There’s more to the world than hemp skirts and organic mushrooms.”

“You’ve only worked here for nine months so there’s no way you’ve told me anything for years.”

I wave my hand around, sending her negativity away. My bracelets jangle like I’m some kind of belly dancer. I love feeling like a belly dancer. Ching ching.

“Whatever. You know what I mean.”

“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” she says, leaving the counter to go into the back room, her voice fading with the distance, “just don’t make any plans for the fifteenth and sixteenth, okay? You’ll be in charge of everything for two full days.”

I resist the urge to rub my palms together like an evil genius, but it’s hard. I’ve been wanting to get my hands on her stuff for years. Okay, so it’s only been nine months, but it’s been nine loooong months. All this place needs is a little freshening up, and the customers would come in droves. Then I’d have a job for life and not just one for as long as Belinda can survive. I seriously don’t know how she affords to pay me anything at all; even minimum wage is too much for what I see coming in the door.

“And don’t get any crazy ideas,” she shouts. “I know what you’re thinking and it’s not going to happen.”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” I say, trilling my words like a Disney princess as I line up essential oil bottles on a tiny shelf attached to the wall. I cannot keep the smile off my face. She is so going to love it when I’m done with the place. Love it. Love love.

Stone Cold (Iron Tornadoes MC #1) by Olivia Rigal **Josie’s Review**

Lisa Mayfield returns home from law school to a dead brother and a former lover she no longer recognizes.
Brian Hatcher, her brother’s best friend, dropped out of the police academy. Instead of working with Lisa’s brother to bring down organized crime, he became a full-patched member of the Iron Tornadoes, an outlaw motorcycle club, the very one that may have caused her brother’s fall.
Searching for answers to how her David died, Lisa can’t ignore the attraction she still feels for Brian.
The chemistry is undeniable but is there anything left of the boy she once loved or has he turned into a stone cold biker?

Josie's review

4 stars

Stone Cold by Olivia Rigal is the first book I have read by this author, but once I saw the title had an MC in it, I was sold. Stone Cold is a short read about 124 pages. I wish it was a little longer so we got more story and more character development with more intensity. I love when books with these themes are more intense but what we do get is a bit of mystery to this story. There are little clues that are given throughout the story which made it not only enjoyable but also suspenseful.

Lisa Mayfield is returning home after finding out her brother whom she loves dearly was killed. Going home is hard for her. Her mother has never been the same since her husband passed away years ago. Lisa and her brother David were really close. When their mother basically checked out they relied on each other. While Lisa is home, she comes face to face with Brian, her brother’s best friend who also happens to be the love of her life. There is a mystery behind David’s death, one that occurred while he was working undercover to bring down the MC.

Brian is a total mystery to me. We do not get his POV or really much from his character. I found him to be mysterious, cold and entitled, but don’t get me wrong he is a totally alpha, dirty mouth biker. Lisa being home, also changes things for Brian. There is something he is hiding. Brian and Lisa are both suffering from David’s death and being together helps them to cope with his demise.

Lisa is really a beautiful character. I found Lisa’s strength and determination to find out the truth on what happened to her brother was selfless. She’s loyal and regardless of the risk she was determined. Where she was strong in some areas, she was also weak when it came to Brian. He would just show up whenever he wanted and she was ok with it. When she decides to date a very sexy and hot cop, she all but caves after Brian demands it. No will power at all. Yes, there is history and a connection between the two characters but the way he treats her is wrong. Little by little secrets about what transpired before David was killed slowly start to emerge. Brian is staking his claim while keeping the MC and any man away from her all the while keeping his secrets. Who can Lisa trust? Is the task force that David was a part of the real cause of his death? Are Brain and the Iron Tornado MC behind David’s murder? I am interested in seeing where the next book in this series goes.
