Hotline by Quinn Anderson **Jen’s Review**

Zack never intended to become a phone sex operator, but with half a college degree and a smart mouth, his options were limited. It helps that he has a knack for thinking on his feet and a willingness to roll with whatever his clients throw at him. Sure, he gets his fair share of creeps and unconventional requests, but it pays the bills, and he’s in no danger of breaking his one rule: never fall for a client.

Until a man named “John” starts calling, and Zack finds himself interested in more than a paycheck. It’s not just that John has money, or that his rumbling baritone drives Zack wild. He’s everything Zack isn’t: educated, poised, and in total control of his life.

A twist of fate brings them face-to-face, and now that they’ve seen each other—and spent an unforgettable night together—they can’t go back to the way things were. A sex worker and a trust fund brat . . . It’s like Romeo and Juliet, but with less stabbing and slightly fewer dick jokes. Hopefully they can pull off a more successful ending.

this was breaking all his rules, all the company rules, and all common sense.
It was the worst idea ever, but Zack had just had the single greatest orgasm of his life.

If the blurb hasn’t peeked your interest for this story than maybe that did.  This book’s premise is not one I’ve come across too often, and certainly not one that captured me from beginning to end like this one has.  This definitely has a pretty woman esque feel to it. What do we get when one extremely hot, lonely, educated rich boy meets an equally hot not so educated sex trade worker.  Smoking hot phone sex, orgasms, a deep connection and some kindle melting sexy times.

There is so much that I loved about this book. Zack and John’s relationship started off hot and the more time we spend with them the hotter they get.  I loved how in tuned they were to one another how much they reacted to just the sounds of their voices. Yes they were some pretty heavily detailed sex talk going on and seriously how can that not be a turn one but I loved how much they craved each other.

I didn’t think the level of steam could have topped what went on over the phone but once these guys actually got together the amount of want and desire pouring off the pages from these characters could be felt all over.  This author definitely knows how to write some intense sex scenes that honestly is I could not look away from. This is the kind of thing I love to read because it ticks off everything I love. I love feeling the motions and feeling the highs along with the characters. I totally believed in their budding romance.  Their chemistry was just perfectly written.

This story is pretty low in angst and I honestly I appreciated that. There are a few things I had issue with but overall I really enjoyed this story. I wish we had gotten an epilogue because I feel like we needed more than just a scene for all the wrongs to be righted.  I would definitely recommend this story especially if you are in the mood for a sweet, smoking hot story.

The happiest day of Payton Lambert’s life was the day she graduated high school and watched Bald Knob, Kentucky get smaller and smaller in her rearview mirror. She wanted more for her life than a tiny town where everyone knows your business and you can’t find a decent cup of coffee for at least forty miles. Twelve years later, an unexpected phone call in the middle of the night has her packing up her life in Chicago and racing back home to the one person she ever regretted leaving behind.

Upon her return, she sees that Leo Hudson, the scrawny boy who followed Payton around like a puppy and could recite cow insemination facts in his sleep, is long gone. Leo is still hot on her heels, but now he’s wearing a sheriff badge and dead set on solving a murder that may or may not involve Payton…along with half the town. In a place where the biggest crime happened the day someone kicked a few of his cows, people are pointing fingers, rumors are spreading like wildfire, and Payton swears she’s only making out with the sweet-talking, studly sheriff to distract him from the secrets she’s keeping.

When you’ve been tased, peed on by a yippy dog named Bo Jangles, and can’t stop picturing what Sheriff Hudson looks like naked, it will be a tough job making everyone agree that…Jed had to die.

“Aaaaaand it’ s official. I’m ruined. For all other men, women and most definitely vibrators.”

Seriously always my words after finishing a book by Tara Sivec.  Her books put me in a book funk and make me say, “but nothing will be as funny, or captivate me like that one did.”  She is my go to author for romantic comedy.  Her writing is relatable and I swear when I finish reading I think she has to be friends with one of my friends because I can hear myself in her writing.  With Jed maybe it was because my friends and I make the best decisions when drunk.

“Really, the one to blame in all of this is wine.  It’s all cool and yummy and then it forces you to make poor life choices like keeping important things from the guy you’re-“

“Stop talking,”

This book gives you that same OMG MY STOMACH HURTS HUMOR that so many of us fell in love with when Tara gave us the Chocolate Lovers.   I could totally see myself making the same decisions and I am not saying we would kill someone but well, we might depends on how many bottles of wine we had.   What I loved about this book was even though there was the main couple, Payton and Leo, this story involves all the characters around them just as much.  The people of Bald Knob all had my stomach hurting with their stories.  Leo is quite possibly sex on stick and every girl needs a man that will stand behind their crazy and their friends crazy no matter what.

“Never give a man a warning.  If he can see what’s coming, that just gives him a chance to run.”

Overall, I loved the whole mystery behind this book and I loved how Tara put her own hilarious spin on it!!

Politics aren’t simple, they are messy; there is always deceit  and something lurking underneath.”

I just fell in love with Mr. President, I swear I am now all about politics and I would love to sleep with Mr. President in my bed every night!!  I was completely seduced with the charm and Matt’s mouth.  I was so scared I wouldn’t be able to fall in love with this book they way I had with every other thing Katy has ever put in my hands because of the political spin but nope this exceeded every expectation I have ever had for a book.  And let me say, WHY THE HELL CAN’T WE HAVE A REAL LIFE MR. HAMILTON!!!

“But he could be my president. He was my first crush. He is my boss, and my candidate. And right now he is my very breath because nothing has ever felt as exciting to me as this man, this man in moment, sipping his coffee, leaning back in his chair, watching me with such lazy eyes–as if he has no intention of going anywhere.”

From the beginning Katy had my full attention with her writing and I was shocked how intriguing she was actually making a book about politics. It had me hanging on every single word and it gave me those butterflies that make you just want to know what is going to happen next.  This story is one that leaves you hopeful, and makes your stomach hurt at the same time.  It also left me smacking my kindle screaming OMG MOTHER HELL, NO, I NEED TO CALL SOMEONE, I NEED THERAPY, IS THERE A SUPPORT GROUP FOR THE PRESIDENT!

“I blame the twinkle in his eyes and that handsome love-me, take-me-home, mother-me-or-fuck-me face.” All I can say is that I loved this book more than I can explain and I will be stalking Katy until I can my hands on Commander In Chief.  And prepare because…

“It is pure, wicked foreplay.  The kind girls like me only watch on TV.  The kind that sneaks in unnoticed until your panties are everywhere except where they belong.  Oh God.”

Josie's review

4.5 stars

This book was a bit different than the others in this series. It had less to do with the MC and more to do with the Rock and Clotille’s lives.  I loved how the author introduced us to these characters. We see them at a very early age in the prologue and we get to see the connection they have.  This book was filled with secrets, lies, betrayals, murder and second chances.  When I started this book I was instantly pulled into Rock’s charms and Clotille’s selfless sacrifice.

Rock and Clotille’s story is harsh and filled with a lot of pain and deceit.  Rock was from the wrong side of town, poor while Clotille came from money. These characters only saw each other and nothing else.  They thought they had the rest of their lives together but forces greater than their love forced them apart. Years later while working as security Rock stumbles across Clotille and she’s not living the life he envisioned she’d be.

Rock is God’s gift to all. He lives to ride, drink and have sex. The raunchier the better.  He’s suffered so much and no longer believes in love but it doesn’t stop him from thinking about the one girl that still owns his heart.  When he sees her again there is nothing he won’t do to keep her with him.  Clotille had the charmed life to many but her family life was cruel and vicious.  She was forced to make a decision and make a deal with the devil.  When we see her years later and what she endures it broke me.

The author does an amazing job with their story. It is very engaging and suspenseful.  I enjoyed seeing how much Rock was at peace when he is in Clotille’s presence.  I loved that he immediately changes. He becomes protective, caring and content.  Clotille is tormented with her choices and a pasts that doesn’t want to let go.  She grows so much while she’s with Rock and after years of being torn down she begins to find her own. It was in that moment that I fell for this character.  The author doesn’t leave out all the ugly on how those choices she made impacted her life. Prepare yourself because it truly is something that will affect you.

Just when things are going right for the couple all hell breaks loose and secrets are revealed.Rock and Clotille’s world is shattered.  I kind of figured out what Clotille was hiding but there is other stuff I had no clue about and it blew me away.  Can Rock and Clotille right the wrongs that happened in the past?  Another fantastic book by this author and I can’t wait to see what comes next.

Chiah Wilder is the author of Hawk’s Property, the first book in the Insurgents MC Series. It is a full length, standalone novel. Its release date is set for October 27, 2015.
Always a lover of books, she began writing at a young age and continued through college with collections of short stories. Figuring she had to grow up and get a “real” job, her writing was placed on the back burner.
Her love of reading has always be center front in her life. Chiah’s love of bad boys both in and out of fiction has inspired her Insurgents series. She loves an alpha male whose softer side is brought out by a passionate, spirited woman. In fiction there are no rules or boundaries, and fantasies can go as far as the characters want to take them. Steamy, biker romances with rough, sexy bad boys are her guilty pleasure along with brownies, cheddar cheese, and movie marathons.
Returning to writing has been a dream come true. Writing and publishing Hawk’s Property has been an amazing journey, and she is happy to share the Insurgents family with her readers. She is busy writing her next book in the series.

Without any uncertainty, she strips out of her clothes and leaves them on the floor next to mine, then smiles brilliantly up at me in her bra and panties, her quiet confidence a major fucking turn-on. “What now, bossypants?”

“The rest of it,” I order, my hungry gaze roaming up and down her curvy frame. “As much as I’d love to rip that lace from your gorgeous body with my own hands, that’s gonna have to wait until next time. Now, get naked and climb your cute little ass up in my bed. Where you belong.”

“Already so confident there’s gonna be a next time, huh?” she purrs.

A feral growl rumbles in my chest. “Naked. Bed. Now.”

Debbie's review

4 stars

This is not your typical Erin Noelle angst read.  Megaballs is a laugh out loud story and my favorite character is the six-year-old niece Fiona. I absolutely loved her. I think I highlighted almost all the things she said in this story. In my opinion Fiona stole the limelight in this book.  I loved the chemistry between all the main characters in this story and it had some funny banter too. I felt the secondary characters were just as important and also just as entertaining as the main characters.

It moved at a great pace and had me drawn in from the beginning all the way until the end.  When I saw the synopsis for this book I knew I had to read it. The plot was different and that was what I loved about this book. It was told in dual POV and even had a part told in Fiona’s POV which I found to be the best part of the book.  She was hilarious and I loved being inside a six-year-old head. She was way more mature and knew more than she let on and I loved that being shared with us.

“Now, if you’re good and keep your cheeky mouth shut instead o arguing with me about this like you think you’re about to do, I’ll even buy you lunch and put in a good word for you to Mummy. Maybe she’ll let you have Bible study with her in the shower like she sometimes lets Dax.”

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and why it is not a five star read for me was I felt that Finley and Teague’s relationship felt a little to rushed. They hardly knew each other and were professing dying love for each other. I would of liked to have seen that relationship take a little more time to grow.  Besides that the rest of the book was perfectly written in my opinion and I hope there is a book about Farrah and the relationship I think she has going with the Park Ranger. I have a feeling their story could be one fantastic read.

Copyright 2015 Kai Tyler

At the bar, I ordered brandy, swallowed a sip, and then took the curved stairs up to the VIP area. Men sat on dark leather sofas arranged so they overlooked the main jam-packed club area below. I found a single-seater armchair in the corner of the lounge to perch on, my back to the wall.

I never liked sitting in a room with my back exposed. I preferred to see trouble before it found me. Problems were never far away, vacation or not.

From here, I watched male dancers in nothing but jockstraps on raised, caged platforms dotted around the club, sweat and glitter making their toned bodies glisten.

After tossing back the shot, I caught the eye of a young waiter who sauntered over and took my refill order. Waiting for the drink, I took my time to survey the other people in the lounge. A group of three thirty-something-year-old men sat in the section next to mine. Two of them looked like a couple by the way they touched each other.

The third met my gaze and flashed a set of white teeth as he smiled. Arching his brow and lifting his hand, he enquired if he could come over. He was good-looking with dark- brown hair and a well-built body under the t-shirt. Even his trousers seemed to hide a reasonably-sized shaft.

I tried to picture holding the man down, kicking out his legs and taking him over the table. My cock gave an unenthusiastic twitch. I was still too tense to entertain company. With an almost imperceptible shake of my head, I dissuaded him from getting up. The man shrugged and tipped his drink in salute.

The waiter brought my refill. I took a sip and relaxed into the leather chair, welcoming the gentle alcoholic haze in my mind that stripped away my agitation. My gaze trawled, exploring every male form in sight.

Another group of men sat a few sofas away. These were younger than me, too fresh-faced to be nothing more than just barely legal. Boisterous, they talked and laughed in loud voices, drawing attention.

I spotted him and my world skewed.

The boy—he appeared more boy than man—was whispering something to the person sitting next to him, when his blond lashes lifted in a slow, teasing manner.

My heart stopped and my skin prickled. If I wasn’t usually cool under duress, I would’ve been drooling.

The lad was what? Twenty? Twenty-one? Cute as hell in a smart mint-green polo shirt and navy trousers made of expensive shiny fabric that clung to a lean body. He came across as prep-school material and looked young enough to still be in college. Face like a fucking angel, dirty blond hair that flopped over his face, and pink lips that pouted in the way fashion models did.

I had no problem picturing the gioventù on his knees, that mouth stretched around my girth.

As he rose from the sofa, his dark and huge eyes shone with mischief. One of his friends laughed and lowered his head toward the low table, a rolled note in his right hand.

Columns of white powder lined the glass-topped surface and the man leaned over, sniffing half of the line before he straightened and repeated the action with the other nostril. Finally, he tilted his head back, pinching his nose.

My lip curled down, my jaw tightened, and I averted my gaze. The drug remained illegal, but just like homosexuality, it was freely available in Exilado for the right price.

I shouldn’t begrudge the young men their vices any more than I should condemn myself for having sex with other men. Still, I couldn’t help the weight of disappointment that settled on my shoulders. I’d seen the damage addictive drugs could wreck on perfectly normal lives. I’d taken an oath to keep the toxic substances out of Vincenzo territories. San Torino wasn’t my turf and there was nothing I could do other than ignore the young men snorting the white powder.

“Can I buy you a drink?” Blond boy had ambled over and stood only inches away, his lips curled in a ten kilo-watt smile.

My gaze held captivating eyes of dark green. For a moment, I forgot my disgust at what I’d just seen the gioventù’s friend do and simply admired the specimen before me. The flawless skin, the perfect nose, and the slender body of a person on the cusp of manhood made me increasingly aware of my own increasing heart beat.

Damn. He was beautiful. I didn’t think I’d ever described another man with such a word, which reminded me exactly why the lad wasn’t my type. I liked them tougher than he looked. Not delicate. Not someone I had to worry about breaking.

“I’ve got a drink.” I gave a gruff reply and lifted my glass to my lips but I might as well have been drinking water as all my senses honed in on the person in front of me.

Undeterred, the boy lowered his body in the chair opposite and extended his hand. “I’m Carl. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

I stared at the manicured, slender fingers that didn’t look as if they’d seen a day’s labour, reinforcing the feeling Carl wasn’t for me. It didn’t stop me from picturing them stroking my skin as my cock sprang to life.

“I didn’t invite you to join me.” My tone remained cool, in contrast to the heat riding my blood.

“You didn’t.”

“I’m not interested.”

“I bet I could make you interested.” Carl leaned across and settled his hand on my thigh.

ceaseasmallDeath silences. Love echoes.

Ruby Buckley is no stranger to loss. She lost her twins in their infancy, lost her son to his demons, and lost herself to a life she never wanted.

Until him.

Jim Stone is lost. He’s a father who doesn’t know how to parent, a brother who doesn’t know why he ever patched in, and is completely numb to everything around him.

Until her.

Craving normalcy, Ruby wants to live straight, but that’s easier said than done when a member of the Forsaken Motorcycle Club is determined to make her his old lady. She’s plagued by a past she can’t escape. He vows to give her a better future, even if it means delivering the impossible.

But falling in love was only the beginning.

Twenty years later and they’re still going strong, even if the world around them in crumbling. Jim’s put his club on the line and given Ruby the impossible—her now adult twins she thought she’d lost forever. She has everything she’s always wanted.

But at what cost?

Love is never more real than when it’s forever.

Rest of the series is also .99 now too

Time after time, I never cease to be amazed at how deeply I can be hurt.

Just a flesh wound, Mama.

Jim’s words echo in my mind over and over again. They’re all I hear as I watch my husband— the man who taught me that men can be good— being lifted into the back of the van by his brothers. Blood pools at the bottom of his vest and drips to the pavement.

My daughter— the precious baby I thought I’d lost forever— is being carried to the van by the boy who became my son at the age of eight. She’s lost so much blood. The dark red liquid completely covers her face, neck, and chest. My heart falls into my stomach as I catch sight of the blood smeared all over Ryan’s cut and his face.

My husband’s been gutted and my daughter’s been sliced open.

Both bleeding.

One dying.

Maybe two.

Hopefully none.

And all I can think about is my own selfish need to keep them with me. If I’m not a mother to my daughter or a wife to my husband, then I don’t know who I am. I’ll still have my sons— all three of them— but it’s not the same. My boys don’t need me the way my man and my girl do. I won’t get to hang on to Michael for much longer. He’s a Mancuso and he’ll be staying in New York to take over the family— and it doesn’t matter how I feel about that. Ian, my eldest, has his wife Mindy. He thinks he still needs me, but he doesn’t. Ryan, the boy I have to remind myself isn’t really mine, has Alex. My daughter.

If we lose her, there’s nothing anyone can do to make it better. Ryan will never recover and neither will I. He’ll shut down, just like Rage did when we lost Sylvia, and even I won’t be able to reach him then.

If we lose Jim, we lose our rock. I lose the only person I ever trusted enough to give my whole heart to besides my children.

I won’t survive it.

This is bittersweet, I LOVE this series and I’m saddened to see it end.  I’ve followed the Bayonnet Series since the very beginning and have fallen in love with the men and women in the Forsaken MC.  I adored how JC has taken readers on this journey. She has a unique writing style that pulls us into this series and of course with this final book she does not disappoint.  This book made me laugh and cry. I was angry, proud and satisfied.  This book kept me on my toes and that feeling never let up until the very last page.

Even though this is the end of Mancuso, we go back to the past and are given this amazing love story.  What an amazing story it was.  If you followed this story we never really seen the nightmare Ruby and Ian experienced by the hands of Michael Mancuso. Well we get the ugly in this story.  The man is evil and heartless.  What I loved the most is experiencing the love  that developed between Kim and Ruby.  True to all the Forsaken men in the MC a young Jim was a total alpha male and he wasn’t against playing dirty to keep Ruby where he wanted her, that is by his side, in his bed and in his club.  When Ian and Ryan were little they were so funny and different from the men we see today. Jim took one look at Ian and saw something in this scared little boy that it made him fall not only in love with his mother but with him too. Little Ryan had such a smart mouth and was a terror around the clubhouse.

The Forsaken MC and their women will face the head of the Mancuso family and his men. Both will lose loved ones but only one family will walk away winners.  God my heart broke but it also felt a sense of pride with how the men and women banned together and never faltered even when facing their losses. We see the love and the vulnerability within Ryan and Ian when they were facing the unknown with women who stole their hearts. We also get to see the loyalty and determination to end the Mancuso family’s reign of terror. The bonus chapters we get were so amazing. Just what we really needed. This series was summed up perfectly just as it started, with so much love, drama and suspense.  This book was everything I hoped it would be and gave me so much more. I can’t wait to see what JC will bring to the table.

3.5 stars

Twelve Truths and one Lie was my first by this author.  I really do enjoy a friends to lovers story and when I read the synopsis for this one with the story being about them becoming friends but turning it into more, I knew I had to check this one out.

Aurora hasn’t had much luck when choosing men so upon her friends suggestion, she is taking a year off of dating.  Cameron is taking a break after being badly hurt by his longtime girlfriend cheating on him with his best friend.  Aurora and Cameron have gotten to know each other through mutual friends and decide one night that since they are taking a break from dating they should form a Chastity Club and so their friendship begins.  They begin by meeting every Friday night and slowly get to know each other and become really good friends but as the friendship grows so does the attraction between them.   They try to fight it, they don’t want to cross that line and damage their friendship but bit by bit the line gets blurred and feelings grow.

I really enjoyed both these characters.  Both were caring and giving people, helping the kids and families they helped with the struggles of their day to day lives.  And that caring carried over into their personal lives, sometimes that turned out to be a downfall but for these two, it’s what brought them closer together and helped their relationship grow into something so much more that what it started out as.  I enjoyed the dynamic the author built between these two and at times the banter they had.  For me it helped me feel the connection they shared.

Overall Twelve Truths and One Lie was enjoyable story.  It is told from alternating POV’s and I enjoyed getting to see the story from both sides and seeing their inner thoughts.   It was a sweet romance between two people that were brought together through mutual friends but ended up becoming really great friends that grew into so much more.  I enjoyed the slow build up between these two and liked that they also had a professional  connection, which for me helped build their personal connection  The one downside I found to this book was that the pace was really slow in spots and I felt that the story fell flat for me and in these parts it was hard at times to keep engaged in the story.    I hope this is not the end for these characters, would love to see a spinoff of Sydney and Maddie’s story and as well would love to see more of Cameron and Aurora and where they ended up based on how this one ended.  The one issue I found I had with this one is that even by the end, I never truly understood the title and for me, the thing I love he most is reading a book and getting that “AHA” moment that the pieces all come together and the title makes much more sense but that didn’t happen with this one.   This may have been my first book by this author but will definitely be checking out more of her work.

4 stars

If I had to choose my absolute favorite type of book, hands down it will always be a hockey romance.  I am a lover of the sport and there is just something about this type of book that I absolutely love.  But with that being said, I am a very picky reader  when it comes to my Hot Hockey Hunks and have to say I enjoyed Ryan and Kat’s story.

Kat and her brother Nicholas lost their parents as teenagers and Nicholas has not only been a brother to her since that time but also a parent.  So to say he is over protective when it comes to having a man in her life, it’s a bit of an understatement.  Nicholas’ long time best friend and teammate Ryan Flinn has been like a brother to Kat but along the way something changed and something more happened between them.  They tried to avoid it and avoid each other but when Kat found herself in trouble and her brother wasn’t able to come to her rescue, her second choice was Ryan.  It will always be Ryan.  And once again they share a kiss and realize there is more there.  Ryan decides that even though he promised to look out for Kat and never let her be with one of them, he throws caution to the wind and puts his feelings for Kat first, but how will he tell that to her brother and his best friend.

I really enjoyed Kat’s character.  She was such a strong female, not letting her ex-boyfriend nor her brother rule her life.  She loved her job, she could take care of herself and she wasn’t going to let anyone especially a man stop her from doing what she wanted to do.

I absolutely loved Ryan.  He was such a great sweet caring guy.  Yes being a pro hockey player, he had his time as being a love ‘em and leave ‘em kind of guy but he truly cared for and love Kat and would do everything in his power to protect her and never hurt her.  He also cared about his teammates and his best friend.  He carried the weight of the guilt over his friend getting hurt and was determined to set it right with the guy that hurt him.  He took care of those he loved.  I also loved how thoughtful and caring he was toward Kat and that even though they his their relationship at first, he always wanted to be truthful and upfront with his friend.

The Code is written in third person so it took me a bit to get engaged in the story and connect with the characters but once I did, I didn’t seem to mind the third person as much and really connected to both characters.  It was a really enjoyable story and  I enjoyed getting to meet the other characters that I hope we will later get to see more of their story.  I did enjoy the dynamic of Ryan and Kat’s story although I did find it a bit slow paced in the beginning but once it picked up the pace was good.  And although there have been unspoken feelings between these two for a long time, I found the ending a bit rushed and would have loved to seen a bit more of their story and of them being together.  But overall still a really great enjoyable read.  This may have been my first book by this author but will definitely be checking out more of her Hockey hunks for sure.

Shanyn's review

4 stars

I’ve been in a bit of a book funk lately.  Nothing really capturing my attention, and then “Knockout” showed up on my kindle.  Just like a attention seeking, panty melting, book angel!  This book solved my book funk issue!  I love a good fighter book, and this one did not disappoint.  Sean is a hot alpha male boxer, and I couldn’t get enough of him.

Men like him- men too good looking for their own good- are dangerous and to be avoided at all costs.  Yes, I think, as I fan my flushed face, I must stay away from him.”

Kristen is the “girl next door” type, who doesn’t have the time for egotistical fighters, but something about Sean calls to her from the start.  So, despite not wanting anything to do with Sean, Kristen works at the gym that he will be training at, until his next big fight.  Although she tries to avoid him, it’s hard to avoid chemistry.

My panties are wet.  Wet.  That has never happened to me from just looking at a man.  Suddenly I feel a twinge of sympathy for men and how they must feel trying to hide their erections.”

Sean comes from a rough background, and Kristen does not.  Kristen lives in a world that is boring and repetitive.  She needs someone to come and bring excitement into her life, even if she doesn’t realize it.  She, of course, fights her feelings for Sean, at first.  But, the chemistry and banter, between the two characters during this time was soooooo good!!

“You’re bored with your perfect, routine life.  You’re dying for a man to come along and own you.”

“You need a man who will order for you.  Put you first.  A man who will make you scream so loud when you come that your voice goes hoarse.”

“And I want to fuck your tits, but we can’t always have what we want, now can we?”

When they finally give in to their desire, it is worth the wait!! I haven’t read  hot sex scenes like this in a while.  The chemistry is jumping off each page!  I was pulling for these two characters, and hoping the obstacles in their way wouldn’t win.  Sean and Kristen are two people from different worlds.   One has a dark secret, and I just kept hoping that once all was revealed, they would make it through.

“I love this man.  Every nerve, every cell, every fiber of my being pulses with that truth. And I’m terrified.  Terrified to utter those three simple words.  Terrified to lose him.  Terrified that we are too different and always will be.“

Putting together the chemistry, banter, and fighting world was done perfectly. I found myself ignoring house chores, so I could read instead.  Laundry and dishes had to wait until the evening, when I absolutely had to put the book down and be with my family.  The only reason I gave this book 4 stars, is for the simple fact that I wanted more……I felt like I needed more of this book.  More build up and more fighting would have made this book 5 stars!!

“I’ve always liked the ocean at night.  During the day the beach is hot, crowded, and loud, but at night it morphs into a peaceful haven.  The waves roll in, pulling and receding; each time they retract they take a small piece of earth with them, only to return it again.  A beautiful, never-ending cycle proving that in some way, however small, we are all connected.  I’ve always liked that- the idea that everything has a purpose, that everything is connected to a much greater whole.”
