Jamie’s life is one big financial mess, and it really isn’t his fault. However, the last thing he expected to find in the library was a Good Samaritan. He might have been suspicious of Guy’s motives at first, but it soon becomes apparent that his savior is a good man who has been lucky in life and is looking to pay it forward. Guy being gay is not a problem. Jamie’s not interested… or so he thinks.
Guy is happy to help Jamie, and the two men get along fine. But when Jamie’s curiosity leads him from one thing to another, Guy finds himself looking at the younger man with new eyes. What started out as a hand up is now something completely different….
This story was such a sweet, sexy, fun story with no angst. I love a story that has me feeling good and smiling all the way through. KC Wells did a fabulous job giving us two characters that really complimented each other even though there was such a difference in age.
Jamie finds himself in a really bad spot when all the walls around him seem to be closing in. He is struggling to keep his head afloat while he goes to school and works 3 jobs. When everything really looks hopeless, with no real plan on what to do, Guy steps in and offers him life line. A no strings attached proposal paying it forward. Thus the start of one heck of a beautiful friendship which slowly turns into so much more. This author took something that could have been creepy and weird and made it into something that was truly heartwarming, honest and beautiful.
Jamie and Guy’s relationship isn’t one that was based off sex. There was absolute mutual respect and a genuine friendship. Even though Guy is much older than Jamie he never once took advantage or asserted his authority if you will. I love that he never made Jamie feel like he owed him anything expect for the terms of their agreement when Jamie accepted his proposal. I really loved that you got a really great sense of who they were and how much they really gave to each other long before they ever became lovers. These guys were rock solid, a perfect couple once they did finally become one. They were smoking hot and I honestly couldn’t get enough of them in and out of the bedroom. They were absolutely perfect for each other.
I loved that we got to meet a great cast of secondary characters. Ryan and Cole and Guys daughter were just amazing. I really hope at some point we get to see their stories. I’d definitely recommend this one for anyone who loves a feel good romance with little angst. And to anyone who loves a May-December romance especially one where the younger guy isn’t afraid to go after what he wants.

Born and raised in the north-west of England, K.C. WELLS always loved writing. Words were important. Full stop. However, when childhood gave way to adulthood, the writing ceased, as life got in the way. K.C. discovered erotic fiction in 2009, when the purchase of a ménage storyline led to the startling discovery that reading about men in love was damn hot. In 2012, arriving at a really low point in life led to the desperate need to do something creative. An even bigger discovery waited in the wings—writing about men in love was even hotter….
K.C. now writes full-time and is loving every minute of her new career. The laptop still has no idea of what hit it… it only knows that it wants a rest, please. And it now has to get used to the idea that where K.C goes, it goes.
And as for those men in love that she writes about? The list of stories just waiting to be written is getting longer… and longer….
K.C. loves to hear from readers.
