We are so excited to be talking about our new release: Guns n’ Boys: Homicidal Instinct (Book 2) It is book two in our twisted, dark erotic romance mafia series based in the world of Italian mafia. The story is a long, turbulent journey of one couple deeply entrenched in the dealings of their criminal family. Behind the morbid humor and extreme violence hides the intense love affair of Domenico Acerbi, the mafia’s best hitman, and Seth Villani, the Don’s son.
Together, they have to deal with their blooming affection for each other, their family’s homophobia, their own prejudice, lust, jealousy, and violence. In true anti-hero fashion, they do so in most morally ambiguous ways.
On February 5th we are releasing book 2, so we are doing a giveaway of Book 1 Part 1. If you’re interested in the giveaway, have a look at the bottom of the post! 🙂
— You can take a killer’s memory, but not his instinct —
All Seth wants is to live free with the man he loves. But escaping death at the hands of the mafia is just the beginning of an uphill struggle. When Domenico wakes up from his impromptu surgery and doesn’t even remember Seth’s name, Seth’s world falls apart. Suddenly it’s him who has to plan an escape from New York City and navigate their way to Mexico. All that without even knowing if the man of his life will ever love him again.
Domenico doesn’t know who to trust and what to believe. The man who introduces himself as his brother seems to hide dark secrets behind a cheerful smile. With the mafia breathing down their necks, there is no time to piece together the puzzle of Domenico’s life, and each time he thinks he’s solved it, a new part appears to be missing. Dom needs to find out who he really is, what he’s capable of… and what is the real story hidden behind Seth’s intense eyes.

That about sums it all up right there! OMG, K.A. Merikan sure do know how to lay everything on the line in a story. This book had me completely on edge from the very beginning right up until the end. The calm before the storm yet the storm kept on coming. HOLY HELL! These ladies certainly delivered a mind blowing, devastatingly brilliant installment to this this amazingly well thought out, emotionally provoking series. I can’t even tell you how completely and totally taken I am with this series. These ladies certainly give us such a suspenseful, thrilling and raw take on a story that really has so much depth to the characters and the plot.
If you read the first 2 parts of this series then you know that we were left off with Dom losing consciousness after being shot after choosing Seth over the family. This one picks up right where the last one left off and what a ride we are taken on. Right from the beginning this book begins with nail biting and heartbreaking moments. Dom not knowing who he was or even Seth’s name just killed me to read. Everything these men have been through to get to this point and for that to happen, it left me completely devastated for them.
Seth is forced to take on the protector roll even though he has no real plan on what to do. He puts his fears and desires aside to put Dom’s needs first. I loved Seth before but man he truly came alive in this book showing us that he’s not that useless person the mafia thinks he is. He really shows us great strength and perseverance to do whatever is necessary to make sure Dom is safe.
Dom not remembering his past and not knowing who he really can trust really takes a toll on both the men. However, even though his mind is blank his body doesn’t forget. I loved how we get to see that regardless of the roadblocks put before them they really are made for one another. What one lacks the other compliments. I love their give and take that progresses in this story. Their passion and connection to one another is stronger than ever. Every emotional high and low I deeply felt though the beautiful and harsh moments. It was so heartwarming to watch their love grow even though there was so much standing in their way.
“You have the power to crush my heart, so how could anyone resist you?”
“Cause the moment I saw you as an adult, it was like this unstoppable way of lust. I was on a leash of your cologne, I wanted you to touch me, I wanted to fuck you before you even said a word”
There is so much danger going on in this book and it seems like as we get deeper into this series it gets’ progressively worse. There are so many moments where I was holding my breath literally sitting on the edge of my seat with my blood pumping, heart beating a million miles an hour because of what was taken place in the story. Honest to god, I loved every second of this very thrilling ride. I was completely blown away with some of the bombs that dropped. I mean pick my jaw up off the floor I had no idea that was coming kind of revelations. I seriously said HOLY SHIT, No Eff’n Way. And the last part of the book OMG, my heart is still pounding from all that.
This very special book has seriously taken me on one heck of a ride that I don’t’ ever want to get off of. I love these men and I’m a huge fan of these authors. I’ve been completely consumed with this series for the last week reading every book in this series. There are just that good. These characters have made their way into my heart where I can’t stop thinking about them. I need more, I want more and I can’t wait for the next installment.

- A. Merikan is the pen name for Kat and Agnes Merikan, a team of writers, who are mistaken for sisters with surprising regularity. Kat’s the mean sergeant and survival specialist of the duo, never hesitating to kick Agnes’s ass when she’s slacking off. Her memory works like an easy-access catalogue, which allows her to keep up with both book details and social media. Also works as the emergency GPS. Agnes is the Merikan nitpicker, usually found busy with formatting and research. Her attention tends to be scattered, and despite pushing thirty, she needs to apply makeup to buy alcohol. Self-proclaimed queen of the roads.
They love the weird and wonderful, stepping out of the box, and bending stereotypes both in life and books. When you pick up a Merikan book, there’s one thing you can be sure of – it will be full of surprises.
