Max Riley is the man of your dreams. Or at least he will be, for a price.

As his alter-ego Mister Romance, Max is a drop-dead gorgeous escort who makes romantic fantasies come to life. No sex, just swoon-worthy dates to die for, and the cream of New York’s socialites can’t get enough.  Whether they want a dominating billionaire, bad boy with a heart of gold, hot geek, sexy biker, or best friend who loves them from afar, Max can make it all happen, but he’s careful to keep his real identity a secret.

Enter investigative journalist Eden Tate. Having caught wind of the urban legend of Mister Romance from a lovestruck client, Eden is determined to publish a scathing expose on Max and his ability to swindle lonely society women out of their fortunes.

Desperate to protect his anonymity and his clients, Max challenges Eden to give him three dates. If she doesn’t fall in love with him, she can run her story with his blessing. If she succumbs to his charms, the story dies.

Cynical Eden has no doubt she can resist his fake romance personas, but when the real Max admits he’s falling for her, she has to decide if the professional liar is telling the truth, or if the passionate man with the mysterious past is just one more character designed to con her out of her career-making story.

When I started to read this book I was having a very time in my life. This book was just what the doctor ordered.  I’m sure many of you read to escape, to forget yourself even for a couple of hours.   I told myself I was just going to read a few chapters, that so did not happen.  Once I got started it was literally impossible to put down.  I’ve never read a book by this author so I wasn’t familiar with her writing style, but holy moly, this had everything I look for in a 5 Star read. Humor, angst, steam, sexy hot BBF, a tough heroine and of course a wide range of emotions.

So if you read the blurb you know Max’ profession is an escort.  Based on that you think you know where this story is going, wrong don’t think just read.  There is a mystery behind Max, he has to keep things that way to hide who he truly is.  You are going to fall in love with this character. Once we slowly get behind his alter ego we see a charming man with a troubled past.

I really loved Eden’s character.  She’s like me when I’m reading a book.  She’s digs in and doesn’t stop digging until she finds out who Max is.  Her character is one many women will relate to. Due to her less than stellar relationships she doesn’t believe in love and a HEA in life.  When Max came up with the 3 dates rule to allow her to get to know him, of course she had no concerns she’d fall for him.

Besides creating two very unique and we’ll developed characters we aren’t rushed into a love story.  The more Max and Eden went out on dates the more Eden began to understand Max’ lure and the more her curiosity peeked (OK mine too).  The issue was which side was Max showing Eden, his alter ego or the real man.  You see each of the characters he portrayed, he played the roles to perfection. Even I had no idea who I was falling in love with.  Lies, lies, lies I tell you I fell for them all.

This book had so many endearing qualities from the witty come backs, to the humor, the steam, the connection and intense chemistry.  As the story continued so did the connection and the depth.  A relationship isn’t always sweet and at times it can be intense and that’s what I loved about this story. This couple will face some challenges in their relationship let’s face it, he’s an escort.  This author handled their story with realness. We get to see them ponder things and tackle them together.  I was glued to every page, every angst filled moment and of course all the steam and heat between Max and Eden.  Enough reading this review people and get your one click on, you won’t be sorry.

About The Author

leisaWriting has always been a passion for Leisa, and even though she originally intended to be an actress, it wasn’t long into her time at drama school that she began writing plays.

Those plays were bad. Very bad. Well, her friends thought they were good, but that’s because they were always cast in them and any opportunity to be on stage was met with an obnoxious amount of enthusiasm.

Since then, she’s honed her craft, and several of her plays have been produced and toured throughout Australia.

These days, playwriting has given way to fiction writing, and Leisa’s debut novel, BAD ROMEO, was published through Macmillan New York in December 2014. The sequel, BROKEN JULIET was released in April 2015, and the final book in Leisa’s Starcrossed series, WICKED HEART, will hit bookstores and kindles on May 3rd, 2016.

The Starcrossed series has gained hordes of passionate fans all over the world, and the books have now been translated into eight foreign languages. Bad Romeo and Broken Juliet have also featured on international best seller lists in Brazil and Germany.

Leisa Rayven lives in Australia with her husband, two little boys, three cats, and a kangaroo named Howard.

(Howard may or may not be her imaginary marsupial friend. Everyone should have one.)
