This was my first Holly Hall book and I have to say it will not be my last!!!  I was instantly sucked into this story and world that she created.   Jensen is a heartbroken country star who has everything that makes a reader melt.  HE’S A HOT MESS YOU WANT TO HUG!!!  I literally finished the first chapter and I knew I was hooked and going to be obsessed with Holly and her characters.

Jensen and Lindsey have that kinda relationship that takes you on the angst journey and plays right into your heart.  What I truly loved was there was not an insta love, you actually get character development and growth.  There is that honest back and forth real banter and love.  It’s a book that makes you want to read more and with books lately that is what I have been missing so on that note alone I feel like everyone needs to read this ASAP!!

Holly Hall was raised in North Texas. She drinks coffee on the daily, would love to get paid to travel for a living, thinks animals are often better than humans, can count on one hand the number of things she loves more than reading and Texas A&M football (okay, that might be an exaggeration), and couldn’t handpick a better family than her enormous one. She is currently the reluctant resident of Houston, Texas with her husband and German shepherd. She is the author of three other standalone contemporary romances, Forever Grace, All the Pieces That You Left, and Love in Smoke.

Mr. All Wrong by R.C. Stephens Release Tour & Review

Title: Mr. All Wrong
Author: RC Stephens
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: December 4, 2017

The first time I met Evie Harper, she threw a cream pie at my face. I actually hadn’t met her, just saw her. It was more like she hated everything I stood for and showed me her opinion with an airborne cream pie. Yes, she smacked me front and center on my face. The second time I saw Evie, I didn’t realize she was the cream-pie-throwing bandit, and she took my breath away in a flowing red gown at a gala.
Of course I couldn’t resist her looks, so I asked her to dance. She called me a schmuck and stalked off.
My own Cinderella ran away from me. I shouldn’t have chased her down. We were all wrong for each other. But her fire red hair and feisty personality reeled me in, and I was hooked. Chicago’s most renowned playboy was finally falling head over loafers. At least it felt that way because she was like no other woman I’d met before . . . Evie was special . . .

Problem was I had trust issues when it came to women. Freud would’ve probably said it was my mother’s doing. Somehow Evie made me believe in her . . . trust her . . .
Big damn mistake!
One I hope I won’t live to regret . . .
But then again how could someone so wrong for me turn out to be so damn perfect?

Cute plot and likable characters that had me drawn in from beginning till end. I went into this book blind and really enjoyed it. The characters were easy to relate to and I connected with them right away. The plot had a few twists and turns that kept me wondering how it was going to end and at one point I thought it was going to go totally the other direction and I might have to hunt this author down and smack her with her own book.

The writing was great and it flowed really well. I did however feel like the relationship between the two main characters was a little rushed. I would of liked a little more build but overall it held my attention from cover to cover. The plot flowed smoothly and each detail she wrote gave you a better understanding of the big picture. This book was about two people that meet by chance but have a deeper connection that neither of them know about at first. I was glad the author didn’t play the love triangle card. She totally could of went with that but I liked how she touched on it but moved on. This book had me loving one character one minute and despicing another one the next. That is what a well written story will have you doing. It will have your emotions all over the place.

“A long time ago she had confessed the she truly believed I was all wrong for her. The problem is, she had the situation all wrong. I was perfect for her, and she was made for me. And do you know what happens in such a scenario?”

Your going to have to read it to find out! Overall, I was pleased with this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

Book #1 – Laurent & The Beast – Amazon US | Amazon UK
Book #2 – My Dark Knight – Amazon US | Amazon UK

— There is freedom in blacking boots for the right man. —

Jake. Kings of Hell MC Prospect. Obedient. Desperate for approval.
Vars. Dominant. Stern. Undead.

Jake is itching to become a patched member of the Kings of Hell MC.
For two years he’s toiled as the only prospect. So when a new guy swans in and thinks he’ll get a patch in no time just because he’s got friends in high places, Jake is there to stand in his way.
Only that the guy is older, more experienced, drives a Harley, and has the kind of boots Jake craves to lick.
But he won’t.
Because he only fucks patches.

Vars is ready to find a new home in the Kings of Hell MC after a messy relationship led him straight to hell. In comparison, the pretty, blue-eyed prospect could be just the pleasant rebound he needs.
The boy is a brat, but that could be amended with a firm hand and a gag.
If only Jake was ready to admit to his submissive needs, Vars would gladly take him under his wing.
That is, until he finds out something inhuman resides inside of Jake.
Vars didn’t cheat death only to call out to it again.

But stuck together in one room, keeping each other’s secrets, they might just have to become allies, no matter how unwilling. Because if there is something Vars can’t resist, it’s a boy with pleading eyes.

“You are mine now, boy. This room is soundproof. No one will hear you scream.”
“Yes, sir. My body is yours.”

WARNING: This story contains scenes of violence, offensive language, and morally ambiguous characters.

Jake wouldn’t be subjected to this indignity. He hit right back at Vars, even if the man was solid as a rock. “I’m no slave! I do what I’m asked, and yes, if that means sucking dick, so be it. It’s called dedication. I bet you’ve never heard of it!”

Something flashed in Vars’s eyes, and he descended on Jake, twisting back his arms and pushing him forward as if Jake barely weighed anything. With a yelp, Jake clenched his eyes shut, unable to breathe as he braced himself for impact with the floor, but his body met hard steel instead.

Dampness started soaking into his clothes, and his chin slid over Knight’s newly-cleaned car. It smelled of detergent, sharp and unpleasant, but the large body pressing him down overpowered all his senses.

He struggled against the firm hold but knew he could put more strength into it. His mind drifted off to the leather flogger and cuffs that have occupied it from the moment Jake had made the mistake of touching Vars’s toy bag.

The cool touch of the car’s hood was a relief to his burning cheek. It was increasingly difficult to remind himself every day that Vars was a prospect like him when the man carried himself with so much authority.

“You sure of that?” Vars whispered, leaning over Jake until his lips were inches away from Jake’s ear. The movement pressed his hips tighter to Jake’s ass, and even though there was no trace of arousal in those leather pants, sensing the heat of Vars’s groin had Jake’s flesh feel like molten fire. Were Vars’s pubes salt-and-pepper as well, or had that been his imagination?

“Of what?” Jake’s voice came out trembling so heavily he didn’t recognize it at first. What was he doing? He couldn’t possibly give into this weird thing Vars was pulling him into. Vars had no right to him. No patch. And yet everything about the energy Vars exuded spoke to Jake on a level he didn’t understand.

So he stayed put and stopped the pretense of struggle.

Vars breathed fire down the back of Jake’s neck, and while his body still pressed down hard, and his powerful hands still kept Jake’s arms in a twist, something about the hold changed. Vars hesitated with his answer, his hips swaying gently against Jake’s buttocks as he inhaled and exhaled so close to Jake’s ear it was almost like shouting.

“That you want to serve. That polishing all those shoes on your knees gets your dick hard.”

Yes? No? Maybe? No. Yes.

So he might actually enjoy doing things for the members. Big deal. It was a lucky thing, since he’d been stuck as a prospect for years.

Jake couldn’t understand why he was so nervous. Why his body reacted so violently to this inquisition. Vars’s bulk pressing against him wasn’t helping with focus, but it was the hold on his arms that was making Jake’s senses spiral out of control. He’d gotten a glimmer of that when wrestling with Gray before, but there was something different about Vars holding him down. He just didn’t know what.

“I just want to please,” Jake whispered so quietly he wasn’t sure he’d be heard.

Heartless by R.C. Martin Review Tour

Title: Heartless
Author: R.C. Martin
Genre: Fiction/Forbidden Romance
Release Date: December 4, 2017

He was faithful, until he wasn’t.

She was honest, until first touch…

And against all that is pure and noble, they fell in love.

Warning: This is not one of those novels where the characters’ actions are justified. It is merely a story about two people–two flawed humans–who fall in love under forbidden circumstances. It is intended for audiences 18+ years of age due to explicit sexual content.

I had no idea what this book was about the blurb itself didn’t give much away.  I just knew this was going to be good as well as test me, and boy did it ever test me.  This book was written beautifully well and the slow burn was perfect.  I hate cheaters and politics is not my cup of tea but RC Martin did not disappoint.

I wanted to dislike the  characters but the more the story goes on the more we get to see how unhappy and dissatisfied they both were.  Michael Cavanaugh is a governor, married and is known for his honesty.  His life is structured as is his marriage.  Their lives are built around his position and his wife gets stuck playing the role.  Blaine is young and also learning the ropes of life, she knows there something missing but hasn’t found it.  Their meeting was just fate and  right from that first meeting sparks go off.

This story between Mike and Blaine is raw, gritty and forbidden. It was perfect.  I know cheating is taboo for so many but the dual POV and the slow burn helped me see that it’s not always just so cut and dry. The love both of these characters developed ran so deep.  When all is said and done, there’s not a character to hate in this story.  They both struggle with what’s happening to them but the heart doesn’t lie.  Heartless took me out of my comfort zone and I’m not ashamed to say I loved this book and highly recommend it.

I’m a born and bred Coloradan. While I now reside in Virginia, the land of the Rocky Mountains is where I’ve left a piece of my heart and where my characters come to life. I started writing love stories when I was seventeen, and I haven’t been able to stop! With me, you’ll find that I dabble in a few different romance genres, but my voice is one that’s all about the heart. Writing is my dream; and as a dreamer, you can rest assured that there are many more novels in my head that I can hardly wait to share.

Roomies by Christina Lauren ** Beth’s Review **

Rescued by Calvin McLoughlin from a would-be subway attacker, Holland Bakker pays the brilliant musician back by pulling some of her errand-girl strings and getting him an audition with a big-time musical director. When the tryout goes better than even Holland could have imagined, Calvin is set for a great entry into Broadway—until he admits his student visa has expired and he’s in the country illegally.

Holland impulsively offers to wed the Irishman to keep him in New York, her growing infatuation a secret only to him. I am a lover of Christina Lauren’s writing so after reading the synopsis of this one, I knew I had to read it.  There is just something about her writing that is also so fun and flirty and she pulls me in every time.

Holland Bakker leads a simple life, working for a Broadway show that her uncle is the musical director for.  She has found herself a bit infatuated with a subway performer, finding his music amazing. When her uncle finds himself without a lead musician and no auditions cutting it to be able to fill the spot, Holland introduces him to her subway guy and it seems like everything falls into place, that is until they realize Calvin’s visa is up and the only way to keep him in the country is for her to marry him.

I absolutely loved Holland and Calvin’s characters and really enjoyed the dynamic and slow burn the author created between these two great characters.   I loved Calvin, he was fun and sweet but I really loved that music was a deep passion of his, it truly came out in his character in their story.  Holland was such a giving person, she always seem to put everyone before herself, especially when it came to marrying Calvin to help out her uncle.  Didn’t hurt though she was crushing on Calvin.  But I also love how much Holland’s actions in this story, actions that really wasn’t her norm, helped change her and kind of brought her out of her shell.

Overall this was a really enjoyable and sweet read.  It was fun and flirty but had some really great hot and sexy moments between these two.  I will say at first it started a little slow and took me a bit to get engaged with their story but once things got moving, this one really moved a great pace and kept me turning the pages.  If you are a lover of these types of fun rom com and a lover of this author, this a must read.

“You want more now, and yet you don’t want it enough to make it end. And I already don’t want it to end, Sierra.”
She leans into me, her head resting on my shoulder, emotion that isn’t pleasure radiating off of her and crashing into me. I cup her face and tilt her chin up, my thumb stroking her cheek. “What are you thinking?”
“Nothing. Everything. Can you kiss me again already?”
“Where, Sierra?”
“Where do you want me to kiss you? Tell me.”
“Everywhere.” She pushes to her toes, and her lips find mine, looking for an escape, trying to drive her demons away.
I want to demand her answer, make her tell me where she wants my mouth, but I feel her desperation, her need to escape whatever is in her head. And so, I press my lips to hers, I kiss her mouth, drinking her in, and I don’t taste him this time. I taste her. I taste us. I taste need and hunger and passion. “I want you naked,” I say, my hands sliding inside her jeans and panties. “In every possible way, Sierra.”
“I’m pretty sure I’m already there, and it’s terrifying.” She flattens her hand on my chest. “If you turn into an asshole, I swear—”
“You can punish me,” I promise, “and I’m still willing to offer suggestions.”
“If you turn into an asshole after I trusted you,” she says. “I won’t need suggestions, Mr. Ex-Navy SEAL who won’t be able to hide from my wrath.”
Fuck, I’m crazy about this woman. “Good thing I’m not going to turn into an asshole. I want you naked,” I repeat, and this time, I make it happen. I lower myself to one knee and take her jeans and panties with me. My arm wraps her waist and I lift her, dragging her clothing away, and setting her back down. My hands settle on her hips then and I look up at her. She stares down at me, the simmering look in her eyes all about arousal, submission. And I want that from her and not because it’s some sex game, of which I could play and play well.
I press my lips to her belly and just that easily she trembles, and it only makes me want more. Everything is more with her.  I drag my mouth lower and lower…

I am a huge lover of this Author’s tall dark and Deadly series; fell in love with it the moment I picked it up many years ago.  Now with her Walker security series I am falling in love with it just the same.  But the thing I love most about this series, we get the best of both, we get to see the continuation of the Walker brother’s stories with their wives and we get to meet their new hot and sexy co-workers.

Sierra is on the run from the man she calls “The Beast” but in order to get where she is eventually running to she must scrape up more money and finds herself bartending with none other than fellow bartender Asher, but little does she know at the first meeting who he really is and that the bartender job is just a front and cover for him.  Asher is immediately taken with Sierra and the more he gets to know her the more he realizes there is more to her story and once he finds it out, he is determined to not only protect her but to make her his.

I really loved the dynamic the author built between these two.  The moment Sierra and Asher met was just perfect.  I loved how he mistook her for a dancer and I loved that she didn’t take his shit or his flirting ways.  That first night these two got to know each other at the bar and afterwards just set the whole dynamic for their story for me.  Asher was perfect, he was your typical Alpha male but his intentions were all well-meaning and had Sierra’s safety in mind.  I loved how he was with her and how he gave her the space she needed when she needed it.  He was hot and sexy but oh so sweet and caring, with a side of caveman at times.

I really enjoyed Sierra’s character and how strong she was.  She didn’t play the damsel in distress card when she truly could with her story.  I loved how she didn’t take anyone’s crap and gave it as good as she got it.  Her past wasn’t pretty, and she truly was running from a monster, but she didn’t let that stop her from trying to help stop another monster.

Overall this was a really fabulous read that I thoroughly enjoyed.  It had some great angst and some edge of your seat moments.  But I must say it also had some really sweet and tender parts and so many great hot and sexy moments.  It truly was a perfect mix of a little bit of everything.  I first fell in love with this author’s writing the moment I picked up her first book and I just keep falling further in love with her stories and her characters and she never disappoints.  These books can truly be read as standalone but I don’t recommend it as you are missing out on some really fabulous stories if you do and it only makes these ones more enjoyable knowing you have already gotten the Walker Brother’s stories.

Check out books one and three in the WALKER SECURITY series: Deep Under, book one, is available now and Falling Under, book three, is available for pre-order! All three books in the series are standalones.

Chicago’s premiere tattoo studio, House Of Payne, is across the street from the Mad Cow diner, but it might as well be on another planet as far as waitress Paradise Simone is concerned. But Pari does know danger when she sees it, and tattooist Max Kulagin has it written all over him. A proper Waukegan girl should know to steer well clear, but she can’t resist Max when he leaves beautiful, intimate art sketched out on cheap diner napkins.

Beautiful, intimate art…of her.

This was my first alpha male book I️ have read in a while and I️ have to say I️ missed my love of bossy boys! I️ adored this love story between Max and Pari!! It’s the true opposites attract and holy hell do opposites work!  I️ loved how you could feel that they belonged together. For once I️ loved that an alpha male had to work for it even though Pari was falling for him. The angst in this book was off the chart and like any good alpha Max brings the heat! I️ loved that with this story the author gave us the backstory on Pari and really connected her to me and to the story! Max is everything I love, he has a filthy mouth, tattoos and he’s sexy as hell! Like everything he says I️ imagined him saying to me and I️ wanted to lick my kindle!! Pari is the complete opposite and you understand that due to her past but she has some sass that makes her perfect!! Usually once I️ get to book 6 in a series I️ find myself saying ok time to move on but with House of Payne I just find myself saying I WILL TAKE ONE MORE PLEASE!!!
