And he’s every woman’s dirty fantasy in the state of California.., except one… Quinn Ashby.
Recent graduate of Penn and top of her class, Quinn is whip smart, ambitious and interning as the new marketing coordinator for the Bexley Bruisers American Hockey League team. The last thing she needs is to waste her time on guys…especially one as lethal to her focus as Cash Brooks.
But once the bad boy hockey star tempts her into his world, threatening her professional future, she’s forced to decide whether to let him into her heart…or to leave him behind forever.
Oh my word, this book was just simply amazing! You know when you read a book that leaves you feeling speechless and you can’t express fully what you feel, that is how I feel at this very moment. Perfect Sense is the perfect mix of angst, romance, drama, secrets, laughs and two strong loving complexed characters. The story itself is very engaging from the very start to the very last page. Once I started this book I could not stop.
Quinn was the perfect Heroine. She is so strong, determined and focused. She is witty and not easily swayed, which is why when she first meets Cash she does not fall for his charms. Quinn turned him down at every turn, and let me tell you the man bought his A game, but it did not work for Quinn. Quinn knew his game, his reputation proceeded him and she was not going to be just another notch on his bed post.
What follows is a funny game of cat and mouse. The banter between Cash and Quinn was so refreshing. Cash saw something different in Quinn and he was determined to get her. Once Cash gains Quinn’s trust, what followed was one steamy, heavy and intense relationship. Quinn was an open book and she held nothing back where Cash was concerned, but sadly that was not the case with Cash.
We do not get Cash’s POV in this story, but we do get to see his desperation and need for Quinn through the writing. The distrusting and insecure people they are today are the results of their traumatic pasts and that really broke my heart for them. Cash choice not to open completely to her really caused some issues between them. He knew that once his truth came out he would lose Quin forever and that was something he could not tolerate. When the ugly truth and Cash’s insecurities comes head on, Quinn is forced to make some life changing decisions. Will Cash lose Quinn forever? Will Quinn be able to see past Cash’s lies and secrets and forgive him?
I really loved this story. I’d definitely recommend this book and I can’t wait to see what the author brings out next.

She has been writing since the ripe age of twelve about ponies and princesses in brightly colored duo-tangs with metallic pens. Thankfully, she now has a Mac with a keyboard where she can write about love, sex and relationships. She is an “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” fanatic, a hater of roller-coasters and a country music junkie. She lives in Thunder Bay, ON where the summers are short and the winters are long.
