**JEN’S REVIEW**

*5 Amazing Stars*

“You have to let yourself be open to the possibility of true love.”

“I let myself be vulnerable and got my heart broken, but I also fell in love.”

Yep I fell in love too. Tara Brown really did a fantastic job of sucking me in and keeping me so engrossed to the story that I could not put it down until the very end.  This book had everything I could have asked for in a romance story.  Normally I’m not a huge YA fan but OMG, Tara’s words had me forgetting that I was reading YA.  It doesn’t have the steamy sex scenes that I normally gravitate to but what this book did give me was a ton of laughs, a lot of attitude and and a very romantic love affair.

“So… I may or may not have had a MAC lip-gloss in my pocket. but it wasn’t like I was stealing it.”

“I swallowed hard, begging my eyes to water, but those whores weren’t giving me even a single trickle.”

This story starts off where Finley finds herself in a whole lot of trouble. She’s your typical teenager with a lot of attitude and something to say about everything.  Her parents aren’t the greatest so  they end up sending her away to a relatives place where she hopefully gets her act together.  This is where she meets man of her dreams and life as she knows it starts to change little by little.  She is feisty, mouthy and in all honesty she acts like a spoiled brat but you can’t help but like her a lot.  Let me tell you the way this girl talks had me laughing out loud so many times my daughter was asking me what was so funny.

I fell in love with Aiden right from the beginning. This 19 year old kid with the world on his shoulders, so proper, so mature and so damn romantic stole my heart. There wasn’t a single thing I didn’t like about this boy.  Honestly I couldn’t get enough of him.  I loved the banter between Fin and Aiden. They both completely come from two different worlds but honestly that doesn’t stop them from finding a way to be together. The fact that they are such opposites is what makes them so perfect for each other.

Tara’s spin on this modern day fairy tale was so well written.  I felt like I was watching a new better version of the princess dairies.  Every single character that is introduced to us in this story feels like real people.  It’s so sweet, so funny and yes I am repeating myself but it truly is such a beautiful romantic story.. I NEED more of this story.. There isn’t a cliff hanger, you get this amazing epilogue that you want to go on for days. So yep, I need more Fin and Aiden.  I also would love to see this turn into a complete series. I’d love to see the secondary characters get their own story too..

I’m a huge fan of Tara Brown’s work but honest to god,  this one is my new favorite from her.  I love her ability to write all kinds of genres and honestly I think she nailed this. Definitely a must read.  You will not be disappointed by the lack of sex in it.  She gives us so much in this story that steamy sex scenes aren’t needed. You don’t even miss it for a second.

**JODIE’S REVIEW**

*5 OMG Stars*

“If Snookie got her happily ever after, so can any girl.” #TrueStory

I didn’t know what I was getting when I started this book but the moment I started reading I was cracking up and falling in love.  I think a big part was because I live with a teenage white girl and the words coming from Finley’s mouth I watch and hear daily in my own world. This book is what I would call a modern day fairy tale with a touch too much reality. It is Kate Middleton behind closed doors, you know the version we never truly get to see.

“Well? We know all your dirty little secrets. Now give us the dirty.”

I don’ t know how I want to review this book because it is a book once you start you can’t put down and once you done you are left saying I need to have everyone read this book immediately!!  Actually I think I was messaging people in the middle of reading it to start reading it.  Yeah I did that!!

“White girls can totally keep a secret. It just takes eight of their closest friends to do it.”

Yes this book speaks with a language that is very common in high school walls and in homes all over. I totally say OH MY GOD and that girl is totally Cray, Cray. I also might be addicted to taking selfies of myself thanks to my daughter and the gift of communicating through snapchat and Instagram.

“If a white girl makes a duck dace and doesn’t Instagram it, did it happen?”

With that I guess I need to tell you about the story line and quit talking in a language that only white girls can understand. Tara Brown captured this storyline brilliantly and she wrote a book I could finally share with my daughter and her friends. It has a Princess Dairies feel but revived and written in a way that you can’ t help but fall completely in love all over again.

Finley is a girl who is a teenager who has been cursed with the stepmother from hell and because of that she has a father who is clueless. So after a little trouble Finley is sent away to live with her Aunt for the summer, Hattie. Finley thinks this the worse thing to happen to her just like any teenager but what she doesn’t realize is it’s about to be the beginning of her own fairy tale.

“Oh my God.” He was smug. “I know right?” I scoffed. “Don’t talk to me. I think I might hate you right now.”

Finley reaction is that of any teenager I hate you, you ruin my life but then it happens teenage love.   Finley meets Aiden and we watch as a teenage love story takes off.  The thing with teenage love is when it happens it is so pure and Tara captured how the emotions that they feel so strong.  But this couple was different, this was more romance and we watched as he open her eyes.   Aiden made me swoon and he this prince you want your daughter to find.  Aiden is exactly what you would call the perfect gentlemen with a touch of amazing!!

“Do you admit defeat, then?”

“In what?”

“Your feelings for me? Do you admit you like me as much as I like you?” I grinned. “Never.”

Now, for the best part of all. Tara wrote one of the best endings I have ever experienced. I am not lying I was crying, I was smiling and I had a million butterflies in my stomach. Yes, it was that good. And that left me wanting this book to turn into a series. Yes, do not worry there is no cliffhanger and everything is wrapped up in a pretty bow with all the hearts and flowers to go along. But there are characters in this book that I would love more of, characters that I absolutely fell in love with. Seriously when I finished this book the only thing I was left saying was OH GOD CAN I PLEASE GET MORE NOW!!!

“It truly was a fairy tale ending and I would have the crown to prove it,”

Damn I just want a crown and I think I want a pumpkin spice latte.
